Chapter 99 - Insane Master

Lu Wan noticed Ye Jiao's look and he grinned. "That's right. My weapon is a chain with a blade at the edge of it."

As he spoke, he took out his weapon from his storage bracelet. The blade appeared on his palm with its long chain spread out to the back of his body while the end of the chain was a metal bracelet that was strapped to Lu Wan's left hand. The chain was black in color with several silver lines along the body.

"It looks cool," Ye Jiao was amazed. She could faintly sense that there was a might behind this seemingly ordinary chain.

"Chen Kingdom is a bit behind in terms of weapon, so I don't know the ranking system," Lu Wan clicked his tongue. He might not have much knowledge regarding weapons, but even he could tell that this weapon should have quite a high rank. "I really want to know more about this weapon."

Ye Jiao nodded. "It'll be good if we can find out later."

"Also, that dagger is going to make me envious."

"Oh right, you say something about rejection before," Ye Jiao recalled that Lu Wan said that the cursed weapon rejected him.

Lu Wan nodded. "There's a chain connected to a blade from Death Valley that master showed to me, but I can't touch it. It hurts me the moment I touch it."

Ye Jiao was astonished when she heard that Lu Wan couldn't touch it. Zhan Jing himself didn't really touch it as he floated the dagger in front of them with Eon Energy, so she didn't know that it was possible for a weapon to reject someone. For herself, the dagger only felt slightly cold, but it was still at the range of normal temperature.

"Now that you already have the dagger, it's time to review the training you have to do for the next few months," Zhan Jing chose to change the conversation.

Hearing that, the two children turned solemn and looked at Zhan Jing in anticipation.

Lu Wan has been training for the past few months, but he also slacked off a lot because he spent a long time experimenting with his poison. Due to the months he went away to train in Hell Island, he had lost a lot of time to do his hobby, so he often sneaked out to do the experiment.

As for Ye Jiao, she was not sure what kind of training would be suitable as Eon Energy Master Rank 1. She only trained the same way as she had trained in Hell Island and hadn't continued anything after she left.

"First of all, Ye Jiao is going to continue the poison training. I'll leave it up to you for the list of the poisons and here's the list of the immunity she had so far," Zhan Jing handed a scroll to Lu Wan, who checked it.

"Hey, she's already far better than me when I exited Hell Island."

"She has a better body constitution and will, but don't try to exceed her limit," Zhan Jing reminded.

Lu Wan grinned. "Who do you think I am? I'll surely make sure that Ye Jiao will have great immunity against these poison without endangering her life."

"But make me suffer?"

"That's obvious isn't it?"

Seeing the 'innocent' smile on Lu Wan's face, Ye Jiao smiled bitterly. She could guess that her days in Lu Family Residence would be filled with hardship as this boy would surely push her body to the limit. Well, it was not that bad as long as she could grow even stronger.

"As for your training, there's no need to make it much different with your training when you just form your core," Zhan Jing said leisurely. "The intention of those at rank 1 is to make sure that they could control their Eon Energy outside their body and the best way to do that is by making sure that you have great physical coordination."

"Physical coordination?" Ye Jiao thought the term was strange for her.

Lu Wan groaned. "It means that we have to make sure that we can control every part of our body to the very limit. We already learn how to control Eon Energy inside our body, now we have to use it to sense our body and make sure that there's no gap between our reaction and mind."

"That… is it possible?" Ye Jiao was dumbfounded. She might not attend school, but she knew that there was a gap between their reaction speed and their mind. After all, the response gathered from their sense still needed time, albeit only for 0.0001 or so seconds before it could reach their motoric body parts.*

Lu Wan grinned. "It's not possible normally, but Eon Energy Master has to make use of every second because even a split second action means everything. Just imagine you're slower by a split second in a battle, you can possibly get wounded fatally and died."

Ye Jiao shuddered when she thought about it. She had numerous battles with the wolves, so she knew very well that she had to train her physical reaction because she had gotten several wounds in the past because of reacting split second too late.

Fortunately, there were no deep wounds so far.

"I believe that I already instructed you to train to your very limit, Lu Wan," Zhan Jing flicked a glance at his disciple. "However, it seems that your progress is too slow."

Lu Wan froze at his master's words. He smiled sheepishly. "My talent is not too good, so I'm taking a longer time to train, Master."

"Is that so? Then, this is the list of training you two have to do starting tomorrow."

The two of them looked at the list as they nearly cursed out loud from the long list and inhuman training their master imposed on them. They truly couldn't imagine how their master could come up with such a long list.

"Push up, sit up, running," Ye Jiao looked at Zhan Jing. "Master, are we going to train our basic physique first?"

"Yes," Zhan Jing nodded his head. "There are several ways to train once you reach rank 1, but I feel that this training is the most suitable one for you two."

Lu Wan nearly vomited blood when he heard his master's word. The most suitable one? He would not fall for that lie. This training was the hardest one to master, but it would also bring the best result.

However, this kind of training would make them take much longer time to reach the next rank.

"I can't stay here for long, but I can supervise your training for one day," Zhan Jing rubbed his forehead as he recalled his mission that he had to finish. "When I return one day, I hope that the two of you can become much better."

The two of them could clearly feel the threat their master gave them. They gulped before nodding their head and rushed to start their training.

Even though they were internally cursing at their inhumane master, they still followed after his direction.

...

A/N: *In case you haven't learned in school, when you see, smell, hear, or sense something, it'll take time for your brain to process them into something you understand. Afterwards, it'll be transmitted to other body parts responsible such as hand or other things.

You can search this in google for the detail as I'm not majored in biology, so I can't really say much about them (as for lessons from school…. I think I already buried them too deep in my brain that I can't find it anymore :p)
