Chapter 6 - Bullying

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the largest elementary school in the capital. The name of the school was Chen Elementary School. It was named after the Imperial Family because of their influence and history. In this school, the students were not only taught basic knowledge but also basic combat.

The vast knowledge that was accumulated ever since the kingdom was built was stored in Chen School. There were also Chen Academy to study after the elementary school, which was the place they put most of their knowledge into. The elementary was mostly on the basic ones, which was more important for children to study.

"It's large," Ye Jiao murmured.

The school was extremely large in her eyes. She couldn't see the end of the wall easily. Besides, the large building in front of her should be at least several hundred meters' heights. Well, in her opinion.

Ye Xiao had a complicated smile on his face. Even though he was happy to return here again, he knew that it would not be the same as in the past. He was no longer the same aspiring genius as before. Right now, his power might be rare, but not as much as before.

Many people caught up to him and surpassed him.

Now, he was left in the dust, unable to return back to the frontline where he should be.

"Daddy will go and meet someone, so you wait in the courtyard, ok?" Ye Xiao looked at his daughter.

Ye Jiao looked up and put on a reassuring smile on her face. "I'll be fine, Daddy. There's no need for you to worry so much."

Ye Xiao nodded his head and put down his daughter. He patted the girl's head before walking into the large building. The guards around didn't bother trying to stop him because they recognized him as someone who graduated from this school. Besides, his name has become famous in this city.

While her father took his time inside, Ye Jiao scanned her surroundings. There were a lot of students walking around. They were wearing proper uniform and played around with their friends, laughing and fooling around.

Her grip tightened.

She never had a friend. No one dared to come close to her because she is a trash, the lowest existence in this world.

"Hey, there's an outsider here."

"Where?"

"Ah, you're right."

Most of the students bypassed her, but several of them seemed to take notice of her. Ye Jiao raised her head and saw two people looking at her curiously.

The two of them have brown hair with neat clothes. Although their clothes looked the same because they all wore uniforms, the two of them seemed to have the air of a noble. Not only that, there was some disposition that was rarely visible on ordinary people.

"Brother Liao, are there any new students?" the girl asked.

The boy shrugged. "I'm not sure, Wei Mi."

Wei?

Ye Jiao's heart tightened when she heard this surname. Her eyes landed on the girl's face. She felt that this girl was somewhat familiar to her and now she understood why. This was the same girl that let the stone emitted blue light in the test. They were tested on the same day with Wei Mi's result being the best and her being the worst.

Wei Mi scanned Ye Jiao up and down. "Green eyes. If I'm not wrong, she must be Ye Jiao, right?"

"Ye Jiao?" Wei Liao, the boy, had the tone of disdain as he uttered her name. For the Wei Family, the name of this trash was something that they hated the most.

Ye Jiao stared at the two of them without any intention to answer their inquiry. There was no need for her to talk back as she didn't really have any grounds to talk to them. Her mind spun hard as she tried to recall their identities.

Wei Family is one of the two noble families in this kingdom. Their current head, Wei Shang, was the great general who held control of the entire army in this kingdom. He had five children. Wei Liao is the second son and also the third child. He is two years older than Ye Jiao and has started to study in the school from a long time ago. Even though his talent was not the best, he still got the light blue.

Wei Mi is the second daughter and the fourth child. She was the same age with Ye Jiao and has one of the best talents among the four children. The youngest one still has not been tested yet, so it was still unknown.

"A trash like you hopes to study in school?" Wei Mi's tone was filled with derision. "You should just hope that you don't get kicked out of the city rather than studying in school."

Even though the girl was merely six-years-old, her words were filled with poison. Every single word carried a sharp knife, ready to strike whoever heard it.

"If you think that you can still go to school, you should think twice," Wei Liao laughed.

Wei Mi nodded her head. "If you want to blame someone, blame your father for offending every single powerful force in this kingdom, including my father. You know, it's easy to kick you out of the city with my father's influence."

Hearing their words, Ye Jiao's hand was trembling hard. She wanted to punch the two of them and make them pay for their words, but she couldn't do that. If she fought with these two, she would invite more trouble to her father. There was no way Wei Shang wouldn't use the chance to eliminate her father.

Endure…

She has to endure.

Wei Mi giggled. "If I report your father to my father, I'm sure that he won't be able to stay in this city anymore. Or even worse, his sister will be in deep trouble."

Ye Jiao's hand trembled even worse when they mentioned her aunt. Wei Shang married her aunt when she was young. She didn't know the detail, but it was a forced marriage with her aunt's status being a mere a concubine, unworthy of anything.

Her eyes glared at the two children in front of her. No, they were not children, they were demons.

Tears started to form in her eyes as she suppressed her feelings. She didn't have any other choice but to control her emotion because she was nothing right now. Trying to fight back would only bring trouble to her…

"Let's ask the guard to kick this eyesore out," Wei Liao sneered.

Ye Jiao's eyes reddened.

Why?

Why are they this ruthless?

She didn't understand why they always had to treat her so differently. Really, she hated having any connections whatsoever with these people. They were exceptionally annoying and hateful.

"Wei Liao, Wei Mi, what are you doing in front of the building?"

The cold voice caused both Wei Liao and Wei Mi to fix their postures immediately. They quickly turned their bodies around and bowed slightly in polite manner.

"Wei Liao (Mi) greets Senior Mu."

Ye Jiao raised her head. What she saw stunned her because the one standing in front of her was a beautiful young lady. Appearance-wise, this person should be only several years older than her, but she has the disposition of a queen, an ice queen at that. Her blue hair and eyes were staring back at her while her expression remained motionless.

"Don't create trouble. Go back to your class."

"Yes, Senior Mu!"

The two of Wei quickly turned their body and headed straight to the building. Wei Mi turned around and looked at Ye Jiao. She mouthed out. 'Consider yourself lucky this time.'

Ye Jiao paid no heed to the two Weis as she bowed slightly to the girl in front of her. "Ye Jiao greets Senior Mu."

She didn't know who this person was as she only knew the name from the two Weis. Seeing that Senior Mu only looked at her coldly, she didn't know what to do.

"You shouldn't stay here. They'll bully you again."

"Ah," Ye Jiao noticed that several students seemed to realize her identity. She knew that they would surely come to mock her again. It was not physical bullying, but for a six years old kid, psychological bullying would leave a greater scar in their heart compared to facing the pain of being beaten up.

"I'll be more careful. Many thanks for Senior Mu's help."

Senior Mu didn't say anything again. She walked in a different direction, leaving Ye Jiao alone.

Ye Jiao heaved a sigh of relief. She could feel the invisible pressure coming from Senior Mu's body. Right now, she was glad that she didn't have to face that senior again. She did feel thankful, but the pressure was too much for her weak body.

'There are still good people around.'

But she was glad because this was the first time she saw someone standing up for her except for her father.
