Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The moving was a pain to Theodore Lancaster. He hated the fact that he had to leave his friends and family in California. He hated the fact that they had to move somewhere where the temperatures dropped below zero, instead of staying comfortable year round.

But atleast he got a chance to restart. He wouldn't have to worry about the murmurs in the school, the questions about his brothers latest "crime". He got a fresh start, he could make new friends and a new life.

By the time they arrived at the new house it was 6:00 am, they'd been on the road for about three days now, due to the occasional pit stop. As soon as his dad stopped the car, Theo got out, stretching. He shivered once he realized that his jacket provided no protect against the 49 degrees of the Minnesota weather.

His mom was already out of the car and had opened the house. It was fairly big, with four rooms and three bathrooms. The yard was pretty big on its own too, there would finally be enough space for Becky, their Siberian husky.

After helping his dad and Mason, his brother, unpack the few things they brought from the car, he headed upstairs to find a room. He chose the one with a window right over the porch roof. So he could sneak out at night and watch the stars, that is if he could survive the cold. Although the room was a little smaller that the others he kinda liked it. His brother took the one cross the hallway and his parents the one next to his brothers.

They always needed to keep an eye on him.

The moving truck would arrive any time soon. For the time being, Theodore started unpacking what he had into the closet, getting the inflatable mattress and placing it in the corner. Theo could hear the howl of the wolves, it was barely audible so they were probably far away.

To Theo, wolves were always interesting and beautiful creatures.
