Siv sticks her head out of the carriage, she takes a deep breath, and smiles. It smells like the ocean. She sits back in her seat, a smile still splitting her face in two.
"Have you ever been to the ocean, Miss Gene?" Gary asks when he sees her enthusiasm.
"Of course, when I was a kid, I used to go with my dad-" She stops herself.
'Crap, why do I keep sharing things I shouldn't?'
"I mean yes, I have."
"Have you ever been to Bodo, then?"
"No, I haven't."
"Well, it might be a bit too late today, since the sun is setting. But maybe you can walk around town tomorrow morning, before we leave the port."
"That sounds great." She smiles at him.
The carriage comes to a stop at the docks. When Siv gets out, she sees a few men standing around.
"We have been waiting for you, Captain."
'Captain? Are they talking about…'
"Well, I am here now. Why are you not on the ship?" Gary raises an eyebrow.
"Captain, we're sailing tomorrow, so we need to take care of the tradition."
