With one motion of her hand, Ylva smashes whatever is sitting on Brandt's desk against the wall. Glass shutters and ink stains the wall. The queen is livid. Brandt watches her trying to catch her breath.
"Did you know?" She utters in a low and threatening tone. "About your brother."
"Yes." he answers.
"When were you going to tell me?" She asks.
"I was going to speak to him first. Give him a chance to explain himself and then convince him that what he is doing is wrong." Brandt explains.
"I did not expect that all my children would turn out to be so stupid." She spits. "It must be from Ronald's side." Brandt stares at her with wide eyes. "This cannot go unpunished."
"Mother, he is just a child." The king argues.
"He is a traitor." Ylva says with a nonchalant shrug. "I do not forgive traitors."
