Reaching out for that sliver of light Amos decides to use every ounce of willpower that he could muster.
" Why are things so hard? Why can't I control my own fate? Why do I have questions and no answers" Amos cried out.
As the world around him seemed to brighten up he sensed something different.
He couldn't gather his thoughts because currently, he felt like he was swimming through a cloud of fog, and he could only hear the faint mumbles from an unknown source.
Gradually the sea of fog that clouded his consciousness started to fade and Amos soon came back to his senses.
He was able to figure out where the faint noises came from.
" Are you okay, do you need help or anything?" said the fairly short figure next to him.
Amos still struggling to figure out what just happened, Amos relaxes after a fresh scent of strawberries washes over him.
Trying to put on a heroic face Amos looks to his left and says "My Amos is named, who do you"
* giggling* the short girl says "Well Amos, it's about time. You just sat there staring off into the distance like a fool."
"Oh, sorry" said Amos
After realizing his earlier mistake, he gets up dizzily and says " My name is Amos, and how are you"
Walking past Amos, the girl says " My name is Kayla, and you should hurry up to the servants quarters before you get in trouble"
" Trouble?" said Amos in a confused tone.
Seeing that the young man was confused, Kayla summarized that he must have hit his head and suffered from a concussion. Frowning, she said
" You are a servant at Houston Academy, your living quarters are 10 miles south of here, you'll get in trouble if you are caught in the inner court. I don't know how you got here unnoticed, but you should really go back."
Still confused Amos tried to ask another question but Kayla had already left.
Looking around, Amos almost jumped in shock.
"Where am I?"
" This isn't a Web novel... this is real life. I have a home, and parent, and siblings"
"But there are mountains and buildings here that shouldn't exist"
" What happened to the University of Houston? And what happened to my clothes? What am I wearing?"
" Why are there more questions with no answers"
I better start walking
Amos started walking south, marveling at how big everything is.
" I hope I don't get into trouble" Amos thought as he hurried to the servants quarters unwillingly.
* Whhoooosssshhh* Looking at the source of noise, Amos saw something so shocking that he almost lost his mind.
"Flying...Flying people! Since when can humans fly?!"
Shocked, Amos continued to walk towards his servant's quarters.
While walking, Amos decided to look around seeing thousands of hills with buildings either on or inside of them.
The lush green hills with massive mountains in the background left him slack jawed at such a sight.
The air was fresher and made him feel energized, he walked 5 miles without feeling any discomfort.
" Strange, I never used to have this type of stamina" Amos thought.
Although the clothing I am wearing is made from hemp and not cotton like I'm used to, it's not so bad.
I wonder what it will be like when I arrive at the servant's quarters.
After walking the full 10 miles, he finally saw a massive town.
"Is this the servants quarters?" Amos wondered.
