It hadn't bothered Hazel not knowing before but now her curiosity was eating her alive. Maybe it was because he had used her as a teddy bear the night before. That was a somewhat immature thing to do and it didn't mesh well with everything else she knew about his personality.
"How old are you?" she blurted.
Will blinked at her in surprise. "You're asking this now?" She shrugged, trying to hide her embarrassment. Thankfully, he still answered. "I'm twenty-seven. Three years older than you."
Hazel was surprised that he knew how old she was before remembering that he had probably seen her driver's license when they went to the marriage licensing office. That was how she knew he was in his twenties. Only the last number of his birth year had been covered by his thumb.
Twenty-seven, huh? So he was the same age as Billy would be if he was still out there somewhere.
