Hazel's emotions had been completely worn out once again. She still thought she might be sick from the smell of blood in the room but she managed to hold on. Now the time to confront her husband had finally come and it needed to be done before she passed out from nerves.
Will had begged her not to leave him and promised to never lie again but he had done that before. She already knew she wasn't going anywhere but he didn't.
It would be wise to let him sweat a bit. To be a proper leash, she needed to be in control. Right now she had the power. She couldn't simply tell him everything was fine without laying down the law first.
"We're not finished here," Hazel said flatly. "I'm not okay with what you did. Any of it."
He bowed his head penitently. "I know. I really am sorry, Hazel. I never meant for things to spiral this far out of control."
"You mean you never meant to get caught."
