After a long day of sightseeing, Hazel was in the middle of working on the line art for her comic when Will suddenly broached a question that shook her to her core.
"Do you want kids? You never said."
Did she want kids? Once upon a time she had. Now…
Children deserved to be raised in peace and safety. Without knowing what Will had been up to during the sixteen years they were apart, there was no guarantee that something wouldn't come back to bite him later.
More importantly, any child they had together would carry Charles Thornton's blood. Will had obviously turned out alright but Hazel wasn't sure she could risk it. Or bear the emotional burden of giving birth to the grandchild of the man who killed her parents.
She had barely been able to come to terms with Will's identity because he loved her and had always treated her better than anyone. She wasn't sure she could do the same thing twice.
