Eva sighed. This was not a situation she ever thought she would find herself in.
She'd had her fair share of bad dates but she had never fallen in love with a psychopath before. None of her friends had either. Sure, they'd had bad boyfriends before but they always realized it sooner or later and dropped them like a hot potato.
No one she knew had ever actively been in danger because of who they fell in love with. Hazel had been through enough in her life. She didn't deserve this.
"I was hoping you knew more about Billy Thornton than you mentioned in the book," Eva confessed. "For my peace of mind."
