Chapter 14 - Beautiful isn’t it

All at once, Feng Hao felt the pain from his head recede. He took a deep breath, waiting to see if more pain would come. Luckily, that first wave of pain was the only one that would come.

Feng Hao's surroundings slowly came into focus and he realized that he was seated in a large classroom. He looked down to find himself in the body of a young boy. Feng Hao guessed that his body was that of a 13 year olds.

He looked around, there were many other kids in the class but their faces were unclear. Feng Hao glanced at the chalkboard, not understanding the strange human diagrams and wavy lines which filled it.

Feng Hao felt rather dazed, he knew that this was not real, that was very obvious. The classroom and students were probably just figments of his imagination.

Against his will, Feng Hao raised his hand. "Miss Desiree, you forgot to connect &#@*$ and *=$&%@#$*"

Feng Hao couldn't understand what he had just said, the words were corrupted and glitched, sounding strangely robotic.

It was at that moment that a bell went off. The loud ringing filled Feng Hao's ears. He got up and grabbed his heavy bag, walking through wooden corridors with yellow lights illuminating the windowless hallway.

Feng Hao eventually arrived at a graffitied doorway. There were various slurs and profanities on it. 'It appears that I am being bullied' he thought. He pulled out a key and went inside. Feng Hao was unsure of why he couldn't control his body, until he realized something.

'This has happened to me once before' he thought. It had happened many years ago, but he remembered how he had reincarnated. 'It was through something very similar to this' he thought.

Once he had the realization of what was happening, he slowly found himself drifting out of his body.

Feng Hao soon realized that instead of seeing the kids life through their eyes, he was now following them like a creepy ghost stalker.

"Come on carter, you know how to beat them, just think!"

Feng Hao heard the boy talking to himself. Now that he appeared to be free from the Carter, he drifted around the room. There was a calendar on the wall, a large cross over one of the days.

Next to the calendar was a picture of a handsome man, he had a smug grin on his face and a shine of arrogance in his eyes.

There was a knife stabbed through the picture.

'Carter really seems to hate this guy' Feng Hao thought. He glance over at the young boy who had started writing out a plan on how to win a fight.

"You will die for what you did Jacob" Carter mumbled. Feng Hao assumed that the picture with a knife through it was of Jacob.

Feng Hao thought of exploring the room a little more when he suddenly felt a pulling force and found himself in a comfortable chair. It was mostly black with a few patches of dark red and blue.

There was a round table that had an orb on it. The orb showed Carter.

Feng Hao looked up from the ball, sitting across the table was a young man with blue-green hair, the majority of which fell in front of his shoulders and chest.

The man was thin and pale, but he was unmistakably the Carter that was located in the orb.

Feng Hao looked around, he appeared to be floating in space. There were four stars that stood out to him though, one black, one purple, one red and one white.

"Beautiful, isn't it" Carter said. Although he phrased it like it was a question, Feng Hao could tell that it was a statement. "Yea" Feng Hao said as he lazed back into the comfy chair.

"So sorry you had to go through that" Carter said, a small smile formed on his face. "Unlike most of the other people stored in the system, I don't like people living through my life"

There was a lot of information for Feng Hao to take in. Although he was not a curious person, his interest was piqued.

"You said that there were other people in the system?" Feng Hao asked. "Yes, unlike me, most of the people that have been stored in the system only want to pass on their skills instead of getting to know the candidates"

Feng Hao was about to ask how people got inside the system, but Carter was one step ahead of him.

"The creator of the system, most of us call him A, journeyed around the different universes, taking the consciousness of everyone that had a powerful ability. If someone has a weak skill, then their consciousness fades with time, if someone has a powerful skill, like me, then they get to live on inside the system."

"So only special rank skills get to live on?" Feng Hao asked, "Correct."

Carter began to talk again, "if you look at the orb, you will see me creating my first plan of many, I am a planner of fate, even so, I had to start from somewhere."

Carter waved his hand to the side and suddenly a wall of plan had appeared, there had to be tens of thousands of different plans.

At first, the palms were simple, mostly just some messy writing on a piece of paper. The writing slowly became more refined and made more sense. Eventually the pieces of paper stopped containing writing, instead, they consisted of a single picture.

The pictures eventually started to look real, the second last piece of paper was that of a starry sky, it looked completely real and a strange energy floated around it.

The last piece of paper was blank.

"Why is the last plan blank?" Feng Hao asked. "That was the last plan I ever physically wrote, after that one, I only needed to think in order for my will to become reality, it really is a broken ability, it worked on everyone I have ever met except A."

Feng Hao felt like he was beginning to understand just how powerful A was, they could even transcend fate.

Feng Hao glanced back at the orb, he saw Carter kicking someone in the stomach. "So you beat up Jacob?" Feng Hao asked. "I did, he ordered the assassination of my best friend. You may have noticed the graffiti on my door, it was him that put it there. He was an asshole, nobody missed him after he died."

"So how do I learn this fate planning?" Feng so asked, "you already have." Feng Hao was slightly surprised, when he went through his memories he realized that he had miraculously learned the ability.

"Before you leave, there is probably someone you want to meet," said Carter. He directed Feng Hao to a large jar that was floating a short distance away.

"He was the most difficult creature to be trapped in the system. The only reason it was possible was because one of his disciples turned on him, eventually trapping him in the jar. His most devout follower got trapped with him and his most talented disciple followed him. You have already come in contact with two of them."

'Wow' Feng Hao thought, 'I didn't know that the void wraith had such an interesting backstory'.

"Now go, you don't have very much time, if any other candidates come to this place I could pass on a message if you would like."

Feng Hao smiled at Carter, "tell them that the first place candidate wished to meet them at shrek."

Feng Hao reluctantly got up from the comfy chair. He ran off towards the jar, somewhat amazed that he could run on solid ground while in space. He quickly collapsed as soon as he got close, the pressure and killing intent that emanated from the jar was absurd.

Feng Hao crawled along the ground and slowly made his way to the jar. It was his ticket to becoming strong so he knew that he had to get its power.

It was a little bit easier to get to the jar compared to the first time. He saw a metallic worm creature appear on the jar.

It had plated armour running along its body with purple, blue and green crystals embedded into the armour at regular intervals. The creature had large crystal teeth, wing like spikes jutted out of its armour plates and a black hole followed behind the end of its body.

Feng Hao slowly stood up, feeling his bones creaking under the pressure. A red mist formed around his body from the blood that leaked out of his pores. Feng Hao felt his teeth being ripped out and his fingernails threatening to erase themselves.

Feng Hao hand slowly made its way to the lid of the jar, it was forged out of a smooth black metal which matched with the universe on the jar.

As soon at Feng Hao opened the lid, the pressure radiated from the jar multiplied exponentially and he was instantly rendered unconscious.

A tiny wisp of energy floated out of the jar and into Feng Hao's body.

He had gained another fragment of energy from the universe jar.
