16 years later...
May 21st, 2066
I wake up in my room, finding the sunlight shining directly into my room and into my face from the open blinds, and finding my father there who had opened them.
"Daddd.." I roll over slamming my head into my pillow.
{Mark} 'Rise and shine, you better head off to the academy, you don't want to be late on the first day do you?' He laughs.
I groan.
{Mark} 'Better get ready for your first day, son.'
"No.."
{Mark} 'I'll get your mother..'
I bolt up out of bed. "I'm awake!"
{Mark} 'Hello awake, i'm dad.'
I groan, grabbing some clothes from my closet. I go into the bathroom and freshen up, after taking a steamy hot shower, I stare at myself in the mirror seeing my bright blue eyes glimmering as the light shines into them, my black hair being gelled to the right of my face. A little bit of muscle and a hint of abs appear in my abdomen as well. I slowly cover my stomach up, with a black t-shirt and a blue with gold trimmed jacket over that t-shirt, which had the sleeves cut off. I walk out of the bathroom, towards my bedside. I grab a long black bag, that has a strap and swing it over my shoulder.
I slowly head downstairs, where my parents and my older sister have already began eating waffles for breakfast. My mother doesn't even look at me, and I find only a half eaten waffle in the middle plate.
"Dad..are there anymore waffles?"
{Mark} 'Sorry bud, that's the last of the mix.'
"Oh.." I sound kind of upset.
{Mark} 'Want something else for breakfast?'
"It's fine i'm not very hungry anyways.." I grab my bag, swinging it across my other shoulder.
{Jessica} 'Uh, where are you going?' She asks, kind of pissed off like she always is.
"To Arkshire academy, and mom you can at least try to act like you care." I give her a nasty look.
{Jessica} 'I do like care..' She says sarcastically.
"Yeah..sure you do.." I walk out of the house, heading towards Arkshire Academy.
I soon reach a gate, with pavement leading up to multiple dorms, a large fountain and more pavement leading up to a large, and tall building, it seems to have a width of about three football fields, and as long as six football fields. It would be a dark oak building, with two floors. There would be a sign on the gate saying "Arkshire Academy" I walk in through the gate, and take in my surroundings.
"Woah.."
{?} 'Amazing, ain't it?' A soft, soothing, feminine voice would say.
I look to my right finding a girl, who looks about a year younger than I was, she has a long, dark purple dress on, with black tights on, black boots, and long purple hair, with blonde highlight streaks in it. I look in her eyes, seeing that they were purple, and a beautiful smile with purple lipstick, spreads across her face.
"Yeah, it is.." I reply.
{?} 'It's known for being one of the biggest academy in history.'
"Really?"
{?} 'Mhm, it was built in 1950. Oh my, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Olivia Wolcott.'
"Nice to meet you, Olivia. I'm Brady Briggs."
{Olivia} 'Wait, did you say "Briggs"?' She asks.
"..Yeah..why..?" I hesitate to ask.
{Olivia} 'Wait, do you know Mark and Jessica Briggs?'
"Uh..yeah? They're my parents?" I look so confused.
{Olivia} 'Oh wait, I forgot your kingdom was struck by lightning and burnt down to a crisp a while back, maybe sixteen years ago?'
"Kingdom?" I question. "I don't remember any kingdom.."
{Olivia} 'Wait, how old are you?' She asks, carefully.
"I'm sixteen?"
{Olivia} 'Alright, what month were you born on?'
"March 8th, 2050?"
{Olivia} 'Oh, so you don't have any memories there?'
"I don't think so.."
{Olivia} 'Oh, sorry for bringing this up.'
"Hey, don't worry about it. Well, since you know how old I am, is it appropriate for me to ask how old you are?"
{Olivia} 'Seems fair, I'm 15 and I was born on October 7th, 2051.'
"Alright, so why are a bunch of people lined up over there like they want a Justin Beaver concert?"
{Olivia} 'They're people who haven't registered for this academy yet. Wait, have you registered?'
I nod. "My parents signed me up against my will.."
{Olivia} 'Wow, wish I could say I chose to come here but I'd be lying if I did.'
"Your parents made you, too?"
{Olivia} 'Yep, although doesn't seem so bad right now. But, there's someone from my old school that's going here, and let's just say he's not the nicest person on the planet?'
"What, why?"
{Olivia} 'He's a bully, he threatens people and he thinks he and I are dating. Which we aren't and never were. So, almost every time i'm alone in the halls he comes out of no where and tries to pull something.'
"Sorry about that.."
{Olivia} 'Hey, don't be. It's not your fault, some people just choose to act the way they do because they have nothing better to do and they want attention.'
"Do you know what classes you have?"
{Olivia} 'No, nobody has their schedules yet.'
"Huh.."
{Olivia} 'Everyone is supposed to meet in the theatre.'
"Right now?"
{Olivia} 'People who have already registered, yes.'
"Oh..uh.." I look around like a lunatic. "Where exactly is the theatre..?"
{Olivia} 'No clue, that's what I was trying to look for then I ran into you.'
"Oh, sorry.."
{Olivia} 'Huh, sorry for what?'
"Holding you up.."
{Olivia} 'Nah, it's fine I promise. Plus I was the one who decided to talk to you.'
"Alright, well do you maybe want to find the theatre together..?"
{Olivia} 'Sure, why not?'
