Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

New Sun Calendar, Year 5000, Star Island

On a serene night, the only sound reverberating was of huge waves crashing on a star-shaped island. At the center of this oddly-shaped island, stood a cylindrical nine-storey building. Currently, on the top floor, there was a conference being conveyed. In this dimly lit room, nine silhouettes silently sat around a table. The stifling atmosphere in the room indicated the perturbed mood of these individuals.

These nine individuals or to be precise, nine creatures were from the different races of this world. Among them were Human, Elf, Beastmens, Beasts, Giant, and even a Humanoid-Tree. Though these individuals differed in looks, all of them had two things in common: strength and wisdom.

The individuals gathered here were part of a secret organization that was responsible for the protection of this world. Establishment of this organization took place five-thousand years ago when a catastrophe hit Eos. Their primary purpose was to monitor the invasion from Alien Race.

At the moment, these strong elderlies had sweat on their creased foreheads as they read the content of the latest reports. Within the reports, a single revelation mattered and was responsible for convening this meeting. The subject of the report was:

"The Demon Emperor's seal is weakening. It will only last another fifty years at best."

Five thousand one hundred years ago, the alien race invaded Eos. The invasion was led by an extremely powerful being who was later coined as 'Demon Emperor' by the denizens of Eos. The attack led to a hundred-year war between the alien race and races of Eos. The Demon Emperor destroyed eighty percent of Eos and almost exterminated every race of it. But in the end, due to the combined effort and Ancient Artifacts, the Demon Emperor was sealed. And now the seal was weakening.

In the war, the Demon Emperor's sealing caused the alien race to retreat. But they were still out there, waiting for the revival of the Demon Emperor.

"Everyone, you know the reason behind this gathering and the current predicament that Eos is facing." Said the person sitting in the leader's position. He looked like a sturdy old man with a robust figure and head full of white. This old man was the head of this secret organization, along with being the Dragon representative. Gathering the attention of everyone, his deep voice sighed, "The seal on the Demon Emperor will lift within fifty years, and we can do nothing about it."

"Can't we do anything to strengthen the seal?" Inquired a man as he rubbed his temples. He was fair, tall and looked like a benevolent old man. He was the representative of the human race.

"Last time, our ancestors sealed the Demon Emperor with the help of the ancient divine artifacts. After the sealing ritual, the artifacts scattered and we don't know where they are. If we want to seal the Demon Emperor again or even strengthen the seal, we will have to hasten the search for the artifacts." A middle-aged male with long-silvery hair and pointy ears gently said.

Within the council, the only young looking member was the Elf representative. It was not that he wasn't old, but the elves lived longer than most of the races of Eos, leading to their younger appearance.

"That's easier said than done. We have been searching for four thousand years and only found one artifact. As for the other artifacts, we only have superficial clues. I think we should also try and find another solution." Responded, a slow deep husky voice that came from a humanoid tree.

Treants were humanoid trees, an ancient race that protected the earth. As the closest entities to the earth, treants led the search for the ancient artifacts. Even utilizing the natural flora of Eos, they found only a single artifact in four thousand years.

The other representatives were silent, contemplating the situation and trying to find a solution for it. Suddenly, the Dwarf representative loudly stated, "Why don't we fight with them?" Dwarves were known for their hot blood and their muscular body. They were battle loving freaks.

Fight or flight was the first response that comes to mind while facing danger. So the idea of fighting was one of the primary thoughts in every representative's head. But fighting the alien race with their strength was impossible.

The Dragon representative reprimanded as he lightly slapped the table, "We don't have enough strength to fight with the alien race. Five thousand years ago, our ancestors made numerous sacrifices to seal the Demon Emperor. They even had the help of ancient artifacts. Our current civilization is lacking in what it was five thousand years ago, and we do not possess those artifacts. Without strength, we will only be gifting ourselves to them."

"But if we don't kill the Demon Emperor, then this cycle will repeat itself again and again. The looming shadow of the Demon Emperor will never recede from Eos." The Dwarf said boisterously.

But will they be able to kill an entity that even their powerful ancestors failed to?

The discussion carried on and various ideas came out, but none were suitable. At last, the Human representative spoke as he gently rubbed his chin. "Why don't we try external help?"

Everybody turned towards the Human representative in doubt. Somebody curiously asked: "Can you please explain your suggestion?"

The Human representative slightly nodded and continued, "We all know that the alien race is not of Eos and came from some external world. Their existence tells us that there is another world out there, other than ours. If this is so, why don't we try to solve this problem with external help?"

"Do we even have such advance Magic Technology that can contact people from other worlds?" Someone questioned.

The Human representative took out a bunch of papers and handed them to the council, "Actually, humans and elves have been working on 'Summoning Magic'. Currently, we do not have magicians or advance technology that can contact people from another world. But we can summon someone from the other worlds. Only one-way contact is possible." Looking at the unconvinced faces of the other representatives, he gently sighed, "We don't have that many choices, and I think we should try every possible option we currently have."

The discussion continued until the Dragon representative spoke, "I think we should try three options. The first is to continue searching for the remaining seven artifacts. The second is to summon someone who could become our savior in this crisis. The third is to train people or the younger generation from each race. This way, we can be prepared for anything."

"Should we release the information about the Demon Emperor to common people?" Someone inquired.

"No, releasing this information will only lead to chaos. We should train our younger generation under other pretenses. I will leave the matter of training the younger generation to their respective races." The Dragon representative shook his head as he explained.

"What about the summoning?"

"The summoning requires about a year for preparation and will be carried out by humans and elves together." The Elf representative answered.

After discussing small matters and deciding their plan of action, the meeting came to an end. Every representative left to make appropriate preparations.

Humans and elves were responsible for the summoning while the Dwarves were responsible for weapons generation. The treants had the most extensive network in Eos, so they were responsible for searching the remaining artifacts. The Beastmens and Beasts were responsible for matters regarding food collection and recon on the alien race. Each race was also responsible for raising its people to face this crisis.

The dragons held responsibility for overseeing everything. The dragons were the most powerful race in the world of Eos; hence, nobody would dare argue their position. They were proud and righteous creatures, so nobody had any problem with them taking the lead either.

Exactly one year later…

New Sun Calendar, Year 5001, Star Island

Today was the day when the summoning ritual would take place. After long considerations, it was concluded that a male from an advanced civilization was to be summoned. Other parameters such as age, qualities were decided, and the magic circle was created according to it.

The summoning ritual was performed on Star Island as it was the headquarters of the secret organization. The one responsible for the ceremony and subsequent contact with the summoned was a beautiful human lady. Her name was Krule Lisfeld. She was one of the most gorgeous and talented ladies in her peers.

Though she appeared young, she was the magician that came up with most of the summoning spell. Her intelligence was another reason why she was the one managing this ritual.

Naturally, the main reason for choosing such beauty was to get the summoned person engrossed in helping with the crisis successfully.

At the moment, the beautiful lady stood within a large room along with a few other personnel of the organization. Considering the size of this hundred square meters room, we can call it a hall instead. Half the surface area of the room was taken by a large magic circle in the middle. It looked complicated and had many patterns as well as symbols on it.

Krule Lisfeld lilted her head at the personnel present in the room and softly asked, "Is everything ready?"

"Yes." One of them replied.

"Did you check the summoning circle and formula? Were there any problems?" She asked again.

"Yes, we rechecked it, and there were no problems."

"Okay then, place the mana crystals at their respective places and let's start the ritual." Krule Lisfeld waved her hand and ordered.

In the adjacent room, a group of individuals sat as they gazed at Krule Lisfeld and the magic circle through a mirror. They were the same representatives and came to witness the ritual.

After fifteen minutes, the ritual started. On specific locations on the circle, magic crystals were placed. White fog emanated from the crystals, which was being absorbed by the magic circle. The magic circle glowed with multi-color lights. The lights were getting brighter and brighter as time passed on. All of a sudden, there was a slight sound of cracking. It was so minute that nobody could hear it. It came from one of the mana crystals on the circle.

After the time of five seconds, there was an explosion of bright light and everything turned to silence.
