Synopsis
"Jill!" Sheri whispered. Jill continues to give Sheri grief. Though, in all honesty Jill didn't care, nor did she have room to judge. Jill has done what Sheri is about to do once or twice. Maybe even three times by the time she's done with Anthony. Who knows what his status is? Don't care... But Jill could shamelessly say this, she's never blatantly seen a man's wife and still brazenly flirt with their husband. Sheri was on a whole new level of savagery, and Jill wasn't letting her best friend off the hook so easily. Jill thought to herself, the next time Sheri tries to act all innocent and poise to judge me, imma rub the dirt all up in her face. She continues to push Sheri’s buttons till she gets up to leave and go to the bathroom. Jill was getting ready to tell her to use the gel when unexpectedly, Sheri collides into the Governor. They were a whole tangled mess, Jill practically had to pull them apart before his wife came. The Governor was grateful for her intervention because even he realized he wasn't focused. Upon meeting the governor's wife, Jill was 100% sure, she did not like her. This self-important, condescending chick, made Jill simply want to backhand her. Her whole attitude was trash. She looked down at Sheri and Jill the whole time with fake greetings of kindness. But Jill matched her energy. Like b*tch, your not about to run over me. But Sheri... Practically became her yes girl. And Jill had to fall in line because it wasn't her fight. *** After the awful encounter with Monica, the Governor's wife, Jill got to work on making sure Sheri had a more prominent presence. The girls went to the bathroom, and Jill opened every stall to make sure no one was around. "What was that?!" Jill yelled. "I know right?! Absolute b*tch!" Sheri added. Jill wanted to smack Sheri. "No! You!" Sheri was confused. "You're not focused! When she came up to us all stank, you had no fight in you. You acted like a docile little girl. She said jump and you went 'how high?' Even I had to fall in line." Jill was so infuriated. "Oh...". Sheri said in recollection. "Listen that right there was a freebie. Monica is not about to think that's how things are gonna be moving forward." Jill declares. Sheri was silent but signaled she understood Jill continued as she paced the spacious restroom. "She's the one that had things she wanted to discuss with you, not the other way around. You should of let Monica know what day YOU were available instead of going along with what she choose!" "I know I just got nervous..." Sheri put her hand to her forehead. "Well that needs to be out of your system now that we have a vague idea of what she's about. When we go to the Governor's house, don't act all impressed, as if you've never been in a place like that before, and whatever she asks of you, tell her you need time to deliberate. She's not getting her answer right away." Jill looked at Sheri sternly. "You're right! I'm sorry!... I guess I felt bad about my behavior with her husband that I kind of submitted to her." Sheri admitted. "So are you gonna feel bad about the Governor's behavior too?!" Jill snapped "Takes two to tangle, And y'all was entangled!" "Jill... I don't know if I can be the type of woman that can mess with a married man..." Sheri lowered her head. Well what is she trynna say about me! Jill thought. *** Hey everyone, thank you for your interest in my book, this is my first time writing a story. Hope you enjoyed this excerpt. This is my original work and the setting is urban American. My characters are of African American, Caribbean, and Hispanic descent, so this book may have a different flavor from the more traditional stories on here, so feel free to comment if there are any slang terms or phrases you don't understand.

Chapter 1 - Sheri

Principle Woods looked outside her office window and saw the downpour of rain. She sighed heavily and prayed it would cease before 12pm.

She had an appointment with the bus depo to run mock emergency bus evacuations last week, but due to inclement weather, she had to reschedule. Now with this terrible storm that is showing no signs in relenting, she may have to reschedule again. This was an absolute pain and inconvenience and Principal Woods just wanted to be done with it. Especially since her school was sanctioned by the Board of Education to have another one after it's dramatic rise in student population.

Principal Woods blamed herself though. She allowed herself to let personal relations cloud her judgment. She knew in her right mind, she should have demanded more staff and funds to account for all the students that would be coming into her school. But again in her decision to unofficially be the Governor's mistress, she allowed herself to be pacified with only five extra staff members and $20k in extra funding for the budget.

Maybe the Governor was doing his best. She idly thought to herself. It is for a worthy cause.

The U.S President have implemented a Dream program for the Country of Jamaica. There had been rebel strifes against its government and it was practically in a stand still of normal day to day living because of the violence. The U.S has taken in over 45,000 people in a diplomatic effort to rescue them from Jamaica's down turn. These immigrants have been placed in various locations all over the country. One spot was the city of Parkdale who's local elementary, middle, and high schools was affected by nearly 2,300 new refugee students. They were distributed between 5 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 3 high schools. None, however, was equipped with space, materials or staffing needed to deal with the immediate growth of their student population.

"Honestly what was Governor Garrett thinking?" Principal Woods said to herself, as she was faced with the idea of canceling the mandatory bus drills yet again.

Sheri Woods's mind started to drift as she thought about the time she met Governor Mark Garret and everything that transpired between them.

Sheri's school King Robert Andrews High School was in need of a new Vise Principal. She had two candidates that she had personally vetted and believed would be able to work alongside each other for another prosperous school year.

She had won the award for the principal of the year last year which also happen to be her very first year as principal. This however, came as a shock for many because of Sheri's age, which also earned her a lot of resentment. But being the Queen that she is, she doesn't let the haters bother her. Sheri knew to work smart for everything she earned. Yes, you read right. Work smart, not hard. Why does it have to be hard when you have staff. Just delegate accordingly and REWARD everything that meets and exceeds your standards. Your staff literally trip over themselves to get the job done and quotas met.

Anyways, Dr. Woods's work ethic was considered untraditional but hey, it got the work done and it was highly raved about. This earned the young principal an invitation to Parkdale's Annual Educators Appreciation Galla. Where she met the very handsome Governor Mark Garrett.

Sheri arrived in an emerald green long, silky, sultry dress. The dress has a one shoulder neckline, with one double spaghetti strap that crosses to the back as an A-line style. Sheri sweeped the floor with her long length skirt. But Sheri ain't no grandma and she has no problems showing these haters just how young and bold she is. So it's only natural that she shows a little leg with a sexy high slit! Her satin-like fabric offers minimal stretch. Which shows off her fit and toned hourglass shaped body. Sheri literally looked like a model who was the arm candy of some rich pompous than a high school principal.

Standing at 5'7" with a 32" bust, 24" waist and 36" hips with cocoa complexion and a pair of dark hazel deep-set eyes.

As this brown skin goddess strutted in with her plus one, Jillian Sanchez, her best friend from college, who looked just as dashing, she could feel every eye on them. Some with desire, most with contempt.

"These mother f***ers act like they ain't never seen bad b*tches before." Jill snarked
