*Clang, clang*
The clanging of the dishes woke me up the next day from my sweet sleep...
" What the hell??? " I got up annoyed then I remembered that Mom was there as well.
" You dont have anything to make for breakfast? Why are you so lazyyyy? " She was more annoyed.
" Ah, eh.... I just use to have my breakfast in the college cafeteria... " I replied.
With mom staying over, every morning she would clang away the utensils and I would wake up, it was like morning bells. My rooms were not big, and sadly has no sound proof, it was like sleeping next to the clanging sound. Pure torture!!!Sigh!!!
One fine day or so, I woke up, and there was no sound of banging of any kind of utensils, for a second I thought ' hmmmm, how peaceful...' then suddenly I jump up..
' What happened to mom today?? She didn't get up at all!!!! .. ' and as usual my crazy mind went haywire.
Whenever mom was depressed, which she is most of the time... she would drink and drink... and I would get worried and tense... only dad could somehow bring her on check... I wonder how they even fell in love!!!! I thought. Unlike my Michelle, she is perfect... hehe I giggled to myself.
I tiptoe in the bed room.
Phew!! I was relieved when I saw mom in the bed...
I was about to close the door and walk back...
' Hmmm what if is she dead?? ' I suddenly thought...
Then, I just stood there and stare, no body movement.
' What do I do!!! Should I call dad??? or granny?? ' i started to panic.
I walked slowly towards the bed...
' I should make sure she is dead... but how??? ' thats when I remember how in movies they would try to sense the steady breathing....
'Ah, I should do that too... '
I kneel down beside the bed and lifted my trembling fingers to sense the breathing....
*Whack!!! *
" What the hell are you doing???? Are you trying to suffocate me??? Cant I just sleep in???? Because of you and your dad, I cant even get a good night sleep, now move and let me sleep!!! " Mom shouted!!!!
I sat down on the floor!Shocked!! The back of my hand sting because of the whack... I didn't know if I should be happy or scared or irritated at that sudden outburst !!!
" Ha... ha.... haha haha.. " I started to laughed thinking of what I just did..
*Puff!!! *
I felt the pillow on my face..." Move it, you ungrateful child!! " Mom shouted again.
I stumbled out of the room.... Oh!! man how silly of me!!!!I smiled at myself... they say, people who drink and smoke live a much longer lives then you expect... I giggled.
Later on when I told Michelle and Esha of the incident, their laughed so hard their tears rolled down. I mean it was funny, but I didn't expect them to laugh so much that their tummy ache and people around the cafeteria were staring....
