Chapter 12 - Chapter 12 A Marriage and a Baptism.

A few weeks later, it was time for the wedding of Metatron and Melissa and the baptism of Sabina. The ceremony took place on Mount Sinai, the holy mountain for the Edenites in the centre of Eden. Metatron's former rival, the angel Samael, led both the marriage ceremony and the baptism.

Samael:

- Metatron, do you swear, on your honour as a servant of the great Yahweh, to take Melissa as your wife and be fruitful.

Metatron paused. He had hoped that Samael wouldn't mention Yahweh during the wedding. Yahweh had been dead for millennia, and Metatron didn't want to proclaim himself the servant of Yahweh. Yet, Metatron was a supporter of Yahweh's ideology, so in that sense, Samael honoured him with his words. Metatron found an answer that suited him better.

- As a great supporter of Yahweh's values, I promise to honour my marriage commitment to Melissa. I promise to love Melissa, and if it's my destiny to be fruitful with her.

Samael gave Metatron a sceptical look. Officially, Metatron had already been fruitful with Melissa, so why did he say those last words? Samael decided to go on as if nothing had happened.

- Yes, you have already been fruitful with Melissa, and we pray that Yahweh will give you more blessings to come!

- Melissa, do you promise to honour and obey Metatron until the benevolent Yahweh ends your days?

Melissa:

- I do.

Samael:

- Good. Then I proclaim you husband and wife.

Samael took out two beautiful rings with expensive gemstones and put them on Metatron's and Melissa's fingers. The gathered people were cheering. After a while, Samael lifted his hand, instructing them to stop. He then commenced his speech.

- Today is a blessed day for two reasons, as we also welcome a new member to our Edenite family. I present to you Sabina, daughter of Metatron and Melissa, blessed by the great Yahweh himself. May this holy water protect you and forever keep you safe. Let the celebrations begin!

Having said this, Samael splashed some water on Sabina, the band started playing, and the crowd danced for hours.
