Upon returning to the academy, Ember took a bath before going to bed.
Ember decided to check the card given by owner Henrick.
What he gave to her was not just a simple discount card to the café but rather a VIP card for the establishments under Rosse Group of Companies.
Her lips curved into an amused smile.
Ember knew that Rosse is one of the oldest family in Dewe. Although she already knew that the owner is the only son of the current Rosse Patriarch, but she didn't expect him to reveal his identity that easily. Their surname maybe uncommon but not rare and one is personally running a café which is ridiculous for a young master. So if he didn't intend to, no one would think that he is of a prestigious descent. Not to mention that his presence is very low profile that one thought he is just a waiter.
One really has to think further the motive of his approach.
Is it because he knew they were from special class and had wanted to forge relationship? Ember immediately scraped this idea off her mind. If he just wanted to do so, then there's no need for an indirect approach. The Academy already set a schedule for the special class to attend a banquet to meet the younger generation of the influential families in Dewe, therefore, what the owner did is truly unnecessary if it's just for that simple intent.
After two weeks of "orientation and acclimatization", the representatives of the countries were distributed to separate classes.
There are five reps for each class. In Ember's class, she happened to be with Sanna, Lauren, Ace, and Prince Illo, the 4th prince of Sedia.
Sedia is located on the north of Ruwei while Dewe is situated on the south. The Country of Sedia is relatively smaller compared to Ruwei but is known for their rich soil and long beaches. Although they are also weaker in military might, but the rough terrain surrounding their country serves as their natural barrier against their enemies.
Ember actually paid a little more attention to this country because some clues regarding her identity appeared in this place. Therefore, may it be fate or what, but having Prince Illo in the same class is a blessing.
Upon entering the class, Ember immediately felt the stares of her classmates from Dewe. Besides the initial admiration and curiosity, there's that alienation and some hostility mixed in the atmosphere.
It can't be helped since these group of people always thought that their country is more superior than other countries. It's a little hard for them to understand, especially the younger generation, why they have to mingle with the outsiders.
Ember took the vacant seat near the window. She didn't care about their attitude towards her since her mission is to guard Prince Darian and maybe stumble to some clues about her identity along the way. Friendship is not something she wanted to waste her time with but as long as they are harmless like Sanna and Alyna she will also treat them well.
Ember blankly stared at the clouds while waiting for the class to start when she noticed the class getting noisier. She can feel someone approaching her seat with ill intent.
"Get lost!" a familiar bad tempered voice entered her ears.
Ember unhurriedly faced the owner of the voice and gave a mockingly cold stare. True enough, enemies often meet on narrow roads. Standing besides her is Jardin Dalton.
Upon seeing Ember's face, Jardin, with his strong momentum was immediately doused with cold water.
He stood like a stone in front of Ember until the door opened and the rest of the representatives for their class entered.
Sanna scanned the room and smilingly walked towards Ember but slowed in her tracks when she noticed Jardin. She gave him a hostile look even if she's still a little scared then stood in front of Ember.
Jardin was jolted awake when he saw Sanna. His face redden and immediately walked out of class.
Other students who are waiting for a fight to happen was disappointed. They didn't expect the bully to just cower away.
"Big Sis Sanna is awesome, you scared the baddie away" Ember teased.
"Stop kidding me Naria. Seriously, why is that guy always popping up" Ember saw Sanna heaving a sigh of relief after Jardin left.
"When did you have a beef with the young master of Dalton family?" as expected of Lauren, he already knew of the person involved.
"Hmp, just a pipsqueak!" Ace snicked disdainfully. If not for the guy walking out immediately, he would have taught him a lesson.
"You better keep your mouth shut" Prince Illo sensed their classmates' glare. Seriously, Ace's temper is not suited for being a representative. He can immediately cause a war between countries. Didn't know what Country Y is thinking when choosing a rep.
Nobody knows that Country Y is also helpless when it comes to Ace. Who asked Ace to be the only beloved grandson of their Great Marshall. The guy is spoiled to the bones.
"We met him during the field trip and caused us some trouble. But you don't have to worry about him, that guy is just a cat pretending to be a tiger. Although, there might be other cats that would bother us from time to time since we stepped in their territory-
just be careful on being scratched to death" Ember looked playfully at Ace when she said the last sentence.
Lauren and Prince Illo can't help but laugh, even the well mannered Sanna is silently laughing at the side when they saw the comical reaction of Ace.
"You- silly girl!" Ace's balloon was popped as soon as it inflated. At first he's pissed off with the cold look that Naria is always giving them but whenever he's about to get even with her, she will tease him. For some reason he just can't truly get angry with this girl.
Actually Naria always tease them whenever they speak with her, so even though she's a bit aloof but she's easy to get along with as long as you have the courage to approach her.
