"You never visit me unless I called for you but now you came on your own. Is it because of the critter you brought along?" the President asked knowingly. Jac will never come looking for him just to brag a completed mission. If there's anything different, he can only think of the little girl who created a commotion earlier this day.
"I want to adopt her" Jac didn't mince his words.
"I heard you got Mori check her background, but even he, can't get a single information about the girl. Our only clue is her name which is the only thing she can remember. Her existence scream of warning signs but you still want to risk it?" the President eyed Jac intently. This is the first time Jac wanted something.
"Yes" Jac said firmly. He didn't mind her questionable background. The moment she managed to evade his grasp and stood against the pressure from the agents he knew he had to groom her. It doesn't matter whether she's a girl or still young, all he can see is her vast potential for this kind of life.
Seeing that Jac's decision is final, the President just sighed helplessly.
"Alright, I was planning on giving you extra merits for completing that SS mission anyway. I'll consider your request as the reward, just don't regret your decision" the mission Jac took had been sitting for a long time as if mocking their incompetency. That's why he deserved an additional reward for finally ridding of it. He just didn't expect that Jac would came running for it first. He also can't help but to look forward to how the girl would grow up in Jac's hand. Would she be an asset or a danger to his organization was yet to see.

Jac left the office after he got his approval and looked for his team. He stopped in his tracks when he saw them having an entanglement with Team Reaper.
Team Chaos stayed in the lobby while waiting for Jac. They initially wanted to tour Ember around the place but they still have to get the go signal from Jac.
Ember managed to capture all the hearts of Team Chaos within a short time. Even the elusive Yogi shows a warm smile to Ember from time to time.
In the midst of their peaceful gathering, sounds of footsteps came towards them.
"When had Team Chaos fallen so low as to take a babysitting mission" Blade greeted them with a disdainful gaze.
Team Reaper have always seen Team Chaos as their rival and taunt them every time they see each other. And they wouldn't miss doing so this time.
"Glad to tell you that we actually finished the SS mission that you failed to do so" Koala said instead.
"Impossible! I know how hard the mission is, you can't possibly finish it" dark cloud surrounded Blade's team. They took the same mission three months ago and failed miserably even losing a team member. As for the penalty, they were dragged into the punishment hall and just got out today. That's why they know nothing about what just transpired in Team Chaos.
"Hmp! Believe what you wanted to but you can ask anyone and know whether we lied or not" Black Panda claimed.
As much as Blade wanted to deny it he knew the Team Chaos is telling the truth. But he's still bitter about what happened to his team and knowing how the gap between two teams is getting bigger, his heart was being overwhelmed with darkness.
He suddenly heard the little girl laughing. It sounded to him like she was mocking him. In reality, Yogi was telling Ember some of his stories which delighted the child. But all of it was not recognized by Blade who felt inferior at the moment. In the blink of an eye, as if breaking his limits, he appeared in front of Ember red eyed and was about to give her a slap.
No one expected Blade to have made that move. Even if they tried to pull Ember away it would be too late. They expect to hear a loud cry but instead they saw Ember agilely move a few steps to avoid Blade. Due to the large force inserted in the slap but without meeting the target, Blade lost his balance and fell. Everyone who witnessed the scene almost had their eyes popped out.
Others may have thought that Blade fell on his own, but Jac, who was watching from the shadows saw what actually transpired. Just a measly amount of inertia was not enough for Blade to lost balance, instead, at the last moment, Ember sneakily extend her foot to trip him.
Jac was secretly pleased. He knew his decision to adopt the girl and train her was right.
