I remembered the first time Jin and I had met. He had been the untouchable him with his guards barricading his space, while I had been my broken-self with my heart shattered and tears as cold as ice.
I had been on my guard, disregarding his arrogant smile and provocative words. Then as we had raced through the mountain trails of Belle Apres, I had only thought of the thrill and the shadow of Lian Hua in my heart to the back of my head.
While unbeknownst to myself, every turn that I had took and every mile that I had driven had only brought me further away from my past life and closer to the future.
Because as the clock ticked, the night would eventually set in and the morning would arise marking a new day, another day without Lian-ge.
But another today with the man sitting across me.
"I hope you don't have any allergy or--"
Before Jin could finish his sentence, I interjected, "No, I don't. I'm good with anything."
