After Jinjing left Sheng mansion, she headed straight home. At home, she leisurely soaked in a hot tub for almost an hour. The stay in the hospital was not only stressful but also uncomfortable. Even though it was a luxurious VIP room, it could not compare to the comfort of her home. By the time she was done with her bath it was ten in the night.
Wearing her satin camisole and shorts, Jinjing was going through her skin care routine when her phone rang. Quickly apply moisturizer, she went to pick the phone up, which was lying on the bed. A smile adorned her freshly flushed face, when she saw the name of the caller.
"hey! How are you? seem busy haa…." Jinjing spoke first.
"me busy??? Madam, it is you who is busy… no call nothing, since you left." Luwei complained. She could hear Samantha giggle in the background and soon she heard her voice on the other end.
"Hey! Jinnie… how are you babes? I miss you so much… but I am very upset. You forgot your friends once you met your man… hmmm." Sam playfully chided Jinjing.
"how do you know I met Liang?" Jinjing curiously asked.
The phone was now on speaker. Luwei explained, "after you left, Liang had come searching for you. His desperation melted my heart, so I told him that you went to your parent's."
"how come you felt bad for Liang? Wasn't he an enemy to you?" Jinjing could not understand why would Luwei help Liang.
"well…. I know how much you love him…. So when I saw the depth of his love for you…. well… long thing short, I wanted my best friend to be happy, that's it." Luwei tried his best to put his feelings in words.
Hearing his response brought tears to Jinjing's eyes and made her heart feel warm. Controlling her tears, she sniffed and said, "thank you so much guys…. You both are the best." Jinjing genuinely loved the two.
"well…. That we already know." Added Sam and the trio burst out laughing.
Calming down, Luwei asked her when she was returning. "Hey when are you planning to come back? Don't tell me you are going to ditch me for Liang."
"ohh that…. No I won't ditch you… but I was busy as Liang met with a serious accident. He returned from the hospital just today." Jinjing casually informed Luwei.
"oh my god!! How is he now? Text me his number I will personally call to ask."
"okay"
Before hanging up, they talked for a little while more about random stuff.
The joyful ending of the call, drifted Jinjing in to a happy mood. She felt everything in her life was finally on track. Liang and she were back together and even his parents were in favor of their relation. And she now had three very good friends Meili, Luwei and Sam. Just then her phone rang again. Turning on her stomach, she answered the call.
"hey baby, did not sleep as yet?" Jinjing spoke in a melodious voice.
"how can I sleep without my wife beside me? Poor me…" Liang, on the other hand sounded over gloomy. "by the way why was your phone busy for so long? I've been trying to call you for the past half an hour." Liang enquired.
"ahhh!!! Sam and Luwei had called. Luwei was asking when I will resume work and he also…."
"hold on, hold on…."
Liang did not let her complete what she was saying. After hearing that she was planning to resume work, that means go to city S, he could not hear anything else.
"you are saying that you will resume work, go to city S…. in short leave me alone here…. That's not fair…." Liang complained like a little kid. Jinjing tried to get things under control, "baby, listen to me…"
"no way…" once again Liang was not in a mood to listen to her. He knew what she was going to say and he wanted to stop her.
"I already agreed to staying separate till the engagement… now you want to stay in a different city… that's not fair…" he continued complaining.
"you are taking advantage of my kindness…." If Jinjing could see Liang now, she would know that the man was on the verge of crying. It was hilarious how a grown ass man was behaving like a kid who just discovered that santa is not real.
