Ever since the incident in senior middle school Jinjing and Meili have been inseperable. Never had any arguments or misunderstanding. Meili found the one true friend she eternally longed for.
Their closeness always irked Mu Jiaying, she considered Lee Jinjing to be an eye sore because she believed that it was after her arrival that Meili spent less time with her.
She constantly tried to put Jinjing down but would not succeed.
Coincidently, father Lee was well acquainted with Meili as she visited her father's (Mr. Sheng) office many times.
Having watched the cute and adorable Meili grow up, father Lee is particularly fond of her. Solely for the reason that she is very humble and loving. The Lee couple has always been very happy with the friendship between Meili and Jinjing.
Belonging to different social standings, Jinjing was always reminded by her parents to remember her roots and not wish for something beyond their reach.
There is no harm in dreaming and aiming big, but one should not bite more than they can chew.
Present Day:
First day of college.
Neatly dressed in a modest light blue skirt , white long sleeve blouse and a cardigan of matching color to protect from the autumn coolness, Jinjing made a pretty picture.
Her beautiful oval face, glowing with innocence looked rather troubled as she waited for her buddy to pick her up for college.
As usual the lazy Meili woke up late and was running late to college. But still insisted to pick Jinjing up so as to not break the four year long tradition of travelling to school together.
Jinjing called Meili for the nth time "Mei where are you? I don't want to be late for the first day of college."
"ohh!!! I am just two streets away from your place, will be there in another 3 minutes" replied Meili or rather bluffed Meili because she was still long away.
Living in a decent neighborhood which is house to the fairly rich, it wasn't difficult for Jinjing to hail a cab. Yet she decided to wait for her best friend.
Finally, after another half an hour the two made a rather stylish entry in Meili's new BMW Z4, her 18th birthday gift. Having obtained her driving license recently Meili insisted on driving the car herself with her bestie as her companion.
