The runes of the magic shopped appeared around Daniel as he walked through the portal. A quick glance around the wreckage showed that everything was how he had left it. He took a deep breath in, feeling his mana circulate in his body as he did so. An uneasy smile crossed his face as he took a step forward. The magic shop had already served its purpose. He had learned how to circulate his mana, and his body seemed to be doing it unconsciously.
What he did not know was that this was a sign that his body had a natural affinity with magic. That his body was unconsciously devouring the mana around him, attempting to fill the endless void inside him that caused his hunger.
He was still weak. He had no weapon, that practice sword he had been training with had been left at the training field when he logged out. With this thought his next destination became obvious.
He once again crept through the town. He kept to the shadows as he weaved around buildings and hid behind trees. An observer would have seen a chubby body with all the grace of a drunken sailor attempting to hide behind trees, garbage cans, or any object of a decent size. In other words his attempts at stealth were failing horribly.
This did not deter him though. he slowly watched the stealth skill begin to form. It had just become 2%. He had a long way to go before he could even reach level one, But stealth was a skill that he was determined to get. As a chef he had spent a lot of time gathering materials, be they plants or beast. The easiest way to do this was through the stealth skill. In any other game it had been far more simple. As a non combat class he had access to a combat subclass, which he always chose to be an assassin.
This would be no different. He had little experience when it came to combat, and all of that was being an assassin. It was the only path he had a head start in, the only path he had experience in. This had been his path since he started, and the recent events would not change that.
He had chosen the sword as his weapon as he always did. He did not have the finesse of an actual assassin, nor the speed. He had to overcome it somehow, and his choice had been the sword. Besides he had long researched the weapons available in Infinite universe, and had found the perfect weapon for him. With him having learned mana flow already the option was even better.
He slowly made his way through the runes of the town, managing to keep in stealth the entire time. He had not encountered any enemies, but did manage to raise stealth by another 2 percent. In front of him was a building that was mostly collapsed, smoke still rising from the debris. The building was what remained of the weapons shop.
Daniel slowly entered the dilapidated building. He moved carefully to avoid cutting himself on the broken blades that protruded from the ground. As he observed around him he noticed that the the weapons store had not been looted, it seemed that it had been destroyed before the soldiers had come through. This worked out in his favor, as the item he was looking for would have survived the destruction of the building.
It was an expensive weapon, and a specialized one. A person not only needed to be able to use a weapon, but also make their mana flow. He had planned to finally pick one up around level ten when he could afford one. Fortunately for him the city had been destroyed. Countless of people had died here, which was a tragedy, but he had gained from their loss.
It took him over an hour of digging through the rubble to find what he was looking for. The weapon came in the shape of a ring, which unfortunately took one of the two ring spots a person could wear. This made the weapon unpopular, but for him the price was worth the cost. His average stats gave him the scores needed to use the weapon, and he believed that only he could really bring out the potential of the weapon.
He did not hesitate to equip the ring on his finger. A notification popped in front of him.
He quickly clicked yes. Energy blade was similar to a growth type weapon, as the users intellegence raised so would the damage the blade caused. It was also considered magic damage, matching the users highest affinity. This meant that the higher your intellegence and affinity, the more damage the weapon would do.
A confident smile appeared on his face as he summoned the blade. A 5 foot blade made of fire appeared in front of him. The flames danced harmlessly against his flesh, but he could feel the warmth of the blade.
A stray thought crossed his mind as he observed the blade, This weapon is far too flashy for stealth. I will need to acquire another element. one that does not give off my location like a beacon fire.
