Chapter 15: Even powerhouses do sacrifices

More various pieces of information from the major down to the smaller details of the history of the Celestial Order came into Martin's soul. In a form of invisible data, they stitched connective facts that the cosmos knew.

Great civilizations and kingdoms were made due to the contributions of then powerful creatures who called themselves, Mystical Creatures. 'They' are supreme in their held Celestial Orders and capable of obliterating planets after planets. 'They' are Gods of their own.

The Monarchs, Chiefs, Pope, Priestess, Kings, Sultan, Emperors, and so many titles were bestowed upon the Mystical Creatures. 'Their' number meant how much the growth of the cosmos has become.

He learned that after that encompassing war, collectively known as the Great Tattering of Kingdoms, great and almighty Mystical Creatures who reigned in different kingdoms fell one by one just like dry leaves in the peak of autumn.

Countless civilizations perished overnight, just like their Kings and spiritual leaders, many clans died, and numerous beings were wiped out from the face of the cosmos. It is all because of war that made these creatures unable to see the devastation the cosmos had suffered.

Along with the fall of extreme powerhouses, various domains of the Celestial Orders they used were fractured from nature. Leaving the cosmos with normal people only skilled in using a small portion of their previous powers.

Some places of the cosmos suffered irreparable damages. There are places where wormholes appeared leading to an unknown world. Space tears flooded many regions of the void and dangers lurking in the shadows of the once peaceful void.

More than half of the cosmos were obliterated.

Luckily there are twelve remaining but weak power of Order which the creatures can utilize. Though still existing, these remaining domains suffered, too. Small parts of them were shattered.

Years passed and many lineages stopped producing descendants and at last, the Great Tattering of Kingdoms found a serene balance.

With all the chaos that was happening, a shortage of food was rampant until the point that most of the realms had a handful of creatures left.

Grieve and sorrow loomed above all. Children died of hunger, elderlies froze to death, and mothers crying over the death of their infants beside the tombstone of their husbands.

A group of warriors commanded by a 'Him' helped all those who needed it and showed them the path. 'He' used 'His' abilities to guard and protect them as 'He' conquered savage land and defeated evil. 'He' fought battles after battles against those who wanted to take away the little comfort the civilian creatures had. And before anyone notices it, 'He' had a sizable territory encompassing 5 planets.

'He' managed the creatures to become independent on their own. Agriculture prospered, then became industrialization, and technologies governed 'His' lands. After so many years of difficulty, the creatures now felt comfortable. They knew that the difficulties are now over, with the help of their God.

'He' led the mightiest civilization ever seen. Many craved this piece of fat meat. But no one dared to light a finger. Even the other Mystical Creatures.

'They' only give 'Him' the titles, Forefather of Doors and Evil Suppressor.

Forefather of Doors because he uses magical doors to open up a lot of powers. Powers that are not meant to be held by only one. The Mystical Creatures are puzzled but 'They' can't do anything.

Even the warriors under the Forefather are so powerful that they can contend to any lesser Mystical Creatures.

The civilization under the Forefather continued its expansion. Everyone was having a good life. No children died of hunger, no elderlies froze to death, and no mothers wept over their dead infants. But all this stopped when 'He', the Forefather, vanished.

Then, chaos ensued again. Those who salivate before tasted the sweet juices of the civilization and divided the land that was once a peaceful one. 'They' were all afraid that the Forefather may return, but after a long time, even 'His' shadow is no more. And so, carnage, famine, and destruction bombarded the civilian creatures again.

Until one day, twelve Mystical Creatures, including Han, declared to the entirety of the cosmos that each of them found the epitome of the Celestial Orders. 'They' call it Oddities.

These Oddities are the visible embodiment of Celestial Orders born from big celestial stars and a Mystical Creature's understanding of a domain, capable of strengthening any being who wields it and supporting the remaining Celestial Orders in nature.

'They' used it to help of what's remaining. Then, 'They' tried to regenerate the crumbling pieces of Celestial Order, but ultimately failed. 'They' can only wield 'Their' respective Orders and not those without supreme Creatures on the summit of its Order.

With no other choice, 'They' traveled together to search for clues on how to piece back the lost domains. But with the dangers in their journey, they suffered varying levels of wounds and injuries.

Then Martin suffered a very slight twitched in his soul. He found no anomaly as to what caused it, so he put it in the back of his mind.

Finally, Martin saw that at the end of the path, 'They' entered the zone of inhibition, where there is nothing but corruption.

'Their' Oddities guided 'Them' to this place.

'They' used their Mythical Bodies and respective Oddities to curb the corruption coming from the inhibition of powers and fought with the nasty-tailed entities, banished them, and entered the void inside.

In there, 'They' saw a chance to revert to the cosmos they once knew but with a great prize.

'They' saw a lofty tower standing amidst nothingness. A powerful Clairvoyance powerhouse used 'Her' title as the Cassiopeia of Discernment to see the thread of fate of this building. 'She' looked into the past, the present, as well as the future.

There are limited responses to 'Her' discernment though. This tower is full of doors, henceforth, it was called the Tower of Doors. This place is the center of the cosmos and the birth of the Celestial Orders. The future lies there.

'They' all knew that if left unattended, the whole cosmos will one day expire due to the scars left behind by the war. With no choice, the remaining twelve great existences used their Mythical Bodies as the source of energy to expedite the process of producing new stars and lands with one thought in minds—healing the cosmos.

To do it, they have to 'burn' their bodies using their respective owned Oddities to augment the process and with the Tower as its catalyst.

Quintessence evaporated off from their Mythical Bodies and traveled so fast everywhere that even 'Themselves' could not locate where it moved to.

In the middle of 'Their' sacrifice, the nasty-tailed entities returned but with a powerhouse of their own. But this time, they were not for a battle.

The Mystical Creatures saw who it was and 'They' were shooked. It was the Forefather. 'They' do not know what's happening and the Forefather is not speaking, too. 'He' only looked at them serenely and burned his quintessence.

A powerhouse, an extremely powerful one, is willing to do it. 'He' is willing to sacrifice 'Himself' for the good of all. Then, 'They' all finished what they started.

'They' have to disintegrated 'Their' Soul Bodies to create new lands and places for the creatures to grow patch up the missing parts of the other Orders.

It may be just a small part, and with these extreme powerhouses doing the sacrifice, the Celestial Order will be good as new again. But that was not enough.

However, when we factor in the vastness of the cosmos, no matter how powerful, 'Their' Soul Bodies were not enough to even half patch the other Orders. No matter how 'They' burned their Soul Bodies, it was not enough.

Then 'They' used the Oddities of 'Their' respective Orders as the substitute of 'Their' shortcomings.

Points of resplendent light spots splintered off from the actual body of the Oddities and evaporated on the spot.

By sacrificing a part of these Oddities, also means harming them. Some of these Oddities deformed far unlikely from their previous appearances.

All over the cosmos, every creature felt subtle feedback. It was new to them but they immediately realized it was the Celestial Order recuperating. Along with it, they also seemed to smell the breeze of spring.

In desolate places, flowers and grass thrived in new lands and fishes jump out of seas.

Asteroids are combined as a form of a preliminary stage of a star. After thousands of years, hopefully, these will turn into habitable planets.

They all celebrated for they knew that a new start is awaiting them.

On the contrary, the twelve powerhouses' life force dwindled like a candle in the midst of a windy storm. This tedious activity sucked them dry both in the physical body and the Soul Body.

'They' all knew the repercussions but continued. Upon sensing that everything was restored to balance and the other Celestial Orders were okay to be mobilized, all that was left of them are a small number of their Soul Bodies.

With the little powers left, each of 'Them' squished the last remaining force 'They' could muster, wished, and guided 'Their' dying embers to the Oddities to fuel and send it to different corners of the cosmos, waiting for a new fate.
