Another week passed since Nari was no longer ventilated. She underwent several tests, including the last check-up on her eyes. Fortunately, Nari's eyes were fine.
By the end of the week, Nari was no longer oxygen dependent. So was Rae Bin's son, Luiz. Yanmei and Rae Bin often shared moments together with their children while at the NICU.
On one occasion, while both mothers lounged in the breastfeeding area, Yanmei and Rae Bin were comparing the yawns of their young.
"Luiz is so handsome. He got that native American look," remarked Yanmei. "Ohhh... I could already imagine it. He is going to be that tall, tanned, well built, and very handsome."
Rae Bin giggled before she said, "Yes, he and Lucas. They both look like their father a lot."
Looking over at Nari, Rea Bin pointed out, "Oh, look at Nari smiling. She is seeing an angel!" She then directed her gaze to Yanmei and complimented, "She looks like you a lot. She is as beautiful as you."
