Entering Anton's coffee shop, Yanmei took a seat in a secluded area together with Anton's mother. Yeong Soon had earlier came by the office and invited her for coffee.
After ordering for their warm beverage, Yeong Soon asked how she was doing.
"I'm fine, Mommy Soon. Thank you for asking," said Yanmei.
"That's good to hear. I missed you so much, Yanmei," said Yeong Soon. "I really hope that you can work things out with Anton."
She gave a weak smile before their coffee was served. She swayed her head at the sight of black sugar cubes at the bottom of her coffee cup.
"Yanmei, I know you don't want to hear this from me, but please don't blame me for wanting to resolve things between you and Anton," said Yeong Soon.
