Joshua held Ivy's shoulder excitedly, his eyes twinkling in joy.
"What did you say just now, Ivy?" he queried, hoping that it wasn't all his dream and Ivy had in fact spoken to him.
Ivy was stunned speechless and she stared at him silently. More than him, she was disoriented and she kept blinking at him before it finally dawned upon her. She had gained her speech back. She had spoken just a moment ago.
"Ivy, please say something. You're scaring me," Joshua's expression morphed into one filled with concern and he begged her to say something. Her lack of reaction was perturbing him and his mind started to run wild, imagining all the dreadful thoughts possible.
"Hey, guys. What's happening?" Aria questioned from the door. She had dashed inside the mansion when they returned, leaving Noah a step behind. She was excited to share all that had happened in the evening with her sister. Who knew she would find Ivy and Joshua in a very compromising position?
