"Ivy!" Joshua ran frantically towards her, his face as white as snow. Kneeling before her, he pulled her into his arms, nearly knocking her breath off her chest.
Ivy's eyes widened and she blinked a few times, wondering if she was dreaming. Otherwise, why would Joshua hug her all of a sudden when he had promised not to touch her without her consent?
"You scared me, Ivy." Joshua was still distraught. He couldn't brush off his lingering feelings of fear when he woke up and didn't find Ivy beside him. Immediately, he was transported to the day the mishap happened and like a madman, he had searched everywhere for her, forgetting that they were at Noah's mansion and were safe.
"Why did you leave me without informing me?" he complained, making it seem like Ivy was a scoundrel who had ditched his poor wife at home. "Why didn't you wake me up?"
