Noah and Ian were stunned to find Aria standing behind them, and they were rendered tongue-tied for a moment. They glanced at each other warily before returning their gaze to Aria.
"Aria, we wanted to ask you something," Ian started, taking this chance to clarify his doubts.
Aria folded her hands as she waited for him to continue.
"Aren't you angry with Joshua? After all, you know..." Ian couldn't bring himself to speak more. It was a sore spot for her, and he had only ripped open the bandage to the wound that was yet to heal.
"Will it do me any good if I'm angry with Joshua?" Aria smiled wryly while her eyes held nothing but pain. "Will it change the fact that Ivy was hurt, and it was the person she loved and wanted to marry that hurt her?"
