It was past nine at night, and no one had left the hospital. They were all waiting for the moment Ivy would wake up. They wanted to be there when she did. It was, after all, a joyous occasion for them.
Given a chance, they wanted to huddle up in the ICU and wait for Ivy to wake up. But since the hospital had rules, they waited outside instead while just a nurse was stationed to keep an eye on her.
Aria kept pacing back and forth in worry as she glanced at the ICU for the thousandth time. Her heart was fluttering in hope and delight. All she needed was for her sister to wake up and everything would be alright.
"Aria, calm down," Noah stopped her from taking another step further when he noticed how agitated she looked. She was only tiring herself, and he didn't have the heart to see her this way. He understood her sentiments, and he was equally excited as her. But that did not mean she could fret over it and overthink.
