Aria did not care that she had reprimanded the old Carter in the presence of everyone. She did not even care that Noah's parents were nearby. She stared at Grandpa Carter intensely, forcing the man to avert his gaze again.
"Grandpa," Aria sighed and her shoulders sagged. "Although I can lie against my conscience and say that you are not at fault and don't blame yourself, I can't do it. It will not be right, for me as well as for you."
She started, ignoring everyone else in the room. Her words were meant solely for the old Carter to hear. Even if she was harsh, he had to hear them.
"Your intentions when you started the mission were good. But it was the others who misused this opportunity. You've tried your best to stop him and his crimes. If I were in your place, I don't think I'd have been able to accomplish such an amazing feat." Aria revealed all that she had in her mind.
