"That went well." The butler commented as he helped the old Carter to his car.
"I hope Oliver will go through the contents of the envelope carefully. I do not want him to judge me as he had done three years ago." Jonathan commented, his eyes filled with an emotion that the butler was all too familiar with.
"Master...." The butler stopped suddenly as he pressed the divider, hiding their conversation from the driver.
"The event from three years ago is silently killing me from within. With no one to share this matter, only I know how painful it is to hide such a huge secret." Jonathan let out a defeated sigh and looked out of the window, his eyes clouded with thoughts.
He looked so crestfallen that the old butler did not know what to do and how to convince him. He just sat silently beside his master as he waited for the man to continue speaking. However, all he got in return was silence.
