My hand slammed down on the alarm that was ringing loudly signaling it was time to wake up and start my journey.
"Silver it's time to get up" my mother called out from the kitchen as I pulled on a pair of leggings and a red crop top. Making my way down stairs I could smell pancakes and syrup, my oldest siblings Lily and Charlie were sitting at the table with their Pokémon Houndoom and Gardevoir.
"Mornin Mum" I greeted as I got my plate of pancakes and sat at the table pouring me a glass of orange juice.
"Aren't you suppose to be getting your first Pokémon today Silver?" Lily questioned raising her brow.
"Yeah" I said as I finished my pancakes and gulped down the rest of my juice.
"I'm heading to go see Professor Lynch right now and see which Pokémon are available for me to choose from".
I pulled on my brown boots and walked out the door after saying bye to my mom and siblings and ran to the research lab. I thought about the three Pokémon I could get. The fire type Charmander, the grass type Bulbasaur, and finally the water type Squirtle. They were all great but which one would be the one that I'd choose to take with me on my journey?
"I'll just figure it out when I get there I guess" I smiled confidently.
Once I got to the lab I walked in only to see my rival Ethan choose his Pokémon and once he turned around his green eyes met my brown eyes.
"A little late aren't we Silver?" he smirked in a devilish way.
"Shut up".
Professor Lynch walked in with a poke ball and set it in the table.
"Silver I'm very sorry-" she was cut off when a Riolu sprung out of the pokeball and ran behind my legs.
"Riolu get over here right now" the professor ordered but the Riolu refused and held on to my legs.
"Well it seems she's very interested in you and since I have no more Pokémon for young trainers to choose from how would you like to take her as your starter?" Professor lynch asked.
"I'd love to" I smiled and got excited as Riolu returned to her pokeball.
As I left the Pokémon lab I put Riolu's pokeball on my belt and started walking to Route one. I stopped at a sign that said Brickmill forest. Brickmill was the home of many ghost type Pokémon but the most common ghost type was Mimikyu and even though it was a tiny Pokémon it was tough. It's two weaknesses is Ghost and Steel type moves and it takes twenty five percent damage from bug types but it's also immune to Normal, fighting, and steel types.
Mimikyu the disguise Pokémon is a very tricky Pokémon and it's the one that I'm mostly afraid of.
"Well here goes nothin..."
