Chapter 1 - Send-off

Bright light...

Hearing loss...

Unresponsive body...

I taste rust... smells pretty rusty... it doesn't make any sense... *cough*

I... ca..n't..b..re..a..th..

"Who am I?"

My body is being dragged somewhere. Like a sack of rice that's being moved but instead of a sack of rice, it's the sack of a disfigured body. Smearing blood all around the place. An icy chill spreads from my neck down to my body. I can't feel anything. My body is numb. Losing transmission from my body. But my consciousness is still intact.

"Is this the end of me?"

*BAM*

"Oww owww!!, my back! ...Huh?"

Why can I feel my body? Was I dreaming..?

Where am I? ...Wait! I don't remember this place.

It's an ordinary bedroom. Wooden ceilings, concrete walls. Everything's look normal. From the compact desk, to the decent sized bed. But....

"Why are my legs wrapped with bandag- OOWW!!"

I can't move! I find something to get me up....

Wait...!!

"There's a wheelchair on the other side of the bed."

I crawled to the other side and got unto the wheelchair.

Moving the wheels, I reached the windows. Opened the curtains. I didn't expect on what I just saw.

"CLOUDS!!?? IS THIS ROOM FALLING???"

At first, I didn't believe that the room is falling. And my intuition is correct. The room wasn't moving. But right underneath it is a town I'm very familiar with.

"It's my birth town. AHHH!! My head! I can't re..mem..ber."

The name... the name of this town is ARGGHHH- I can't think straight. Why is my head also bandaged? I'm getting a lot more questions than answers. I tried to inspect the room thoroughly. Apparently, it's a room for a little girl. A daughter maybe? From the pink decors, to the colours of the bedsheet. Stuffed animals and dollhouses are also a giveaway. But this wheelchair is literally out of placed in this room. Is this made for me?

*Thud THUD*

I hear footsteps coming near. Is it a kidnapper? Trying to have me ransom?!! Or not?!!

I-I can't think straight...

I was left in a shocked emotion on my face as the door slowly opens.

"PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!"

Covering my eyes in anticipation. I wasn't able to see what comes through.

*SLAP*

"WAKE UP!! I'M NOT GONNA HURT YOU"

*SLAP*

"AWWW WHAT WAS THAT FO-"

As I turn and opened my eyes, I was left surprised... and melting.

"YOU'RE SO CUTEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"

My hands automatically pinched the cheeks of this super adorable girl. She is standing on the bed but my arms reach her overly fluffy face.

"STAHPPPPPP! I'M NOT A KID AAAAAAA"

"Ohh sorry, I-i can't help it. Hehehe"

"Hmphhh! Why is it that everybody started pinching my face as like a chubby puppy?"

She exclaimed as her childish pitched voice rang the room.

"Here!! Eat up! We've got work to do."

"Huh? Work? What??"

I have no literally zero clues as to what she is saying.

"Ohh right. You're a threadweaver now. Eat up and I'll explain it on the way. Hmph!!

As she places a tray full of food. I was left astounded. Threadweaver? Is there a job like that? Why didn't I've heard of this?

"Are you just gonna stare on the food? The food can't just enter your mouth automatically! ...stupid."

"Oh right, my bad. Wait we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Jaiden. And you?

"Hmph! Okay, My name is-"

Wh-a-t? Am I hearing this correctly? You're...
