As everyone's eyes began adjusting from the lack of bright light in the room, shapes were being made out to show the dragon. Something was different about it, it's only been moments since the light went out but this dragon looked younger and sturdier. "What did you do to me?" The dragon roared. "I told you, I gave you the gift you should've received that day." Ampol responded calmly. Now everything was clear, the dragon's scales were smaller but had a new sheen to them, almost like new. His teeth and claws looked stronger and sharper. More muscle under those scales to combat with. Eyes lost all cloudiness making its gaze more fierce. "Your predecessor took the mind breaking for you, he will remain in this stone never knowing who or what he was. Just a consciousness on a stone drifting through time, his burden has granted you that strength. His consciousness will remain with us, but there is a battle coming and we need more protectors. This human I'm in has created witnesses with powers that they're not meant to have. Call me selfish or whatever you like, but this humans end cannot come from the darkness that's coming. You're not going to fight to protect humans or this human like I am, you're going to fight for the survival of your species. The darkness that's coming will do worse than these stones ever did to your species. Find me more of your kind and defeat those below in agony and I'll bestow the survival of the dragons. Right now, it's in your hands to protect your brethren." Ampol explained. The dragon stood there frozen in disbelief as he felt centuries of age fall off him like an old scale. His strength greater than it has ever been, feeling spry like a young lint once again. "How does me protecting my species help you protect the humans?" The dragon questioned. "The darkness will conquer the creatures before the humans, by protecting the dragons, the creatures can be defeated by the humans without your help." Ampol responded.
"You didn't want us to fight on their behalf?" The dragon questioned confusingly. "Every creature has free will, we can't force you to fight any more than I could make a tree grow. At the core of every living things free will in one core memory from the beginning of all life. Survive. All we wanted was for you to be strong enough to fight for yourselves, give you a chance in battle to survive. Your species was never greedy and you were top of the food chain. If the witnesses were to prevail and be victorious, they can't fight with you. We have underestimated the humans, these were our thoughts during the time of the stones creations. They have advanced far enough by now to be able to hold their own now, with or without you on either side of the battlefield." Ampol shared. "You now have the chance to revive your species and prosper again or to be the last living dragon in all of the lands."John chipped in. "I wouldn't wait too long before making your decision between the two." Ampol responded coldly.
"I will revive my species, don't think I'm doing it to protect the humans or fight for them. I'm doing it so that we may live in peace again." The dragon stated. "Wouldn't imagine a dragon and a human fighting side by side as comrades." Ampol responded. "We must take our leave." John said as he began walking away. "How will I find you to bestow my brethren?" The dragon asked. "Gather it all and you'll find us." Ampol said. "There will be a sign that you can't mistake for anything else but for you." Ampol added.
