"Where are you taking me?" Yuan Shun questioned, though he wasn't complaining.
Shi Yen pulled him farther away from the beach house, right when the sun had cast faint shadows. She whirled to face him with a smile. "Fang Qi told me that there's a part of the forest that has fireflies. Let's go find them."
As a response, Yuan Shun smiled at her enthusiasm.
She then guided him to a part of the forest that was thick with logs, moss, and birch trees. Shi Yen squeezed his hand, looking around carefully, trying to make out the shape of the glowing beetles. She gasped. "Look! Shun! Look! I see one."
She pointed it out, and the firefly had clung onto a large leaf, glowing faintly. More had come out, flashing. It looked as if they were floating.
Shi Yen's eyes glinted in awe. But Yuan Shun was more in awe of her.
He then pulled her into his embrace suddenly.
"Shun?"
"I want to hold you."
