"Oh, I umm yeah." I smiled while replying him. I shouldn't be like this, but what can I do while looking those ashy grey deep eyes?
"How's your wound? Did you see a doctor?" I utter words fastly to hide my embarrassing situation don't know whether it was from the debate or from our meeting.
"Shouldn't you first greet to a person you know and then afterwards talk about his situation?" He implied.
"Oh yeah, hello, nice to meet you, I am Iris." I made a gesture to shake hands with a big smile on my face.
He smiled back showing his perfect set of teeth which I thought he was making fun of my crooked tooth, then he replied," Hi, it's my pleasure to meet you, My name is Soren."
A moment of awkward silence occurred between us. Then to break the ice, I emphasised on his wounds again, "Are you okay now with these injuries? "
"Yeah I am all good thanks to your first aid. I want to express my gratitude to you and your friend for saving me that day. How about a treat in a restaurant?" He made a smile and made his face like hoping for a positive answer.
Hearing an invitation from him, It felt like my adrenaline rush in my every cell. Restaurant treat that meant that there was another chance of meeting him. How can I deny that?
Without a second thought I replied him yes.
"How about this Saturday."
"Cool with me"
"Then let's meet at 5 o clock in the evening at the park square."
"Will do."
We separated our ways from that and went to where the results were going to be announced although I know I won't be able to make this time for the inconvenience I caused but I was hoping for Soren to be grab the first place.
As everyone expected our school was not in any position but Soren was first. Although I felt something not good but those were not negative feelings I guess. Afterwards, we started heading out.
"Miss, are you forgetting something?" A sharp sound came from behind me. I turned around and he was none other than Soren.
"You are asking for me. You need something?"
"Yes, You forget something."
"Am I?"
"Yes, you are."
"What?"

I got blank for a moment pondering over his statement.
"Well, in any case, if either of the side fails to show up at least we can inform each other." explained Soren.
"Oh!"
We exchanged our number and when he was leaving he gave me a little smirk which I fail to crack up in the situation.
I reached my school and act normal. The in-charge teacher gave detailed explanation of the day to the teachers present in the office including some principal, senior teachers and my class in charge. I was not blamed by them instead of this I was being asked to take care of myself. It might be for my past meritorious records that I was spared this time. I just left the office and went straight to Rose to ease my soul.
"Baby I miss you so much" I crossed my arms to her right arm.
"What happened? Are you down?"She questions without showing any expression on her face.
"Hey, no." I answered her then put my head on her shoulder. I gave her all the details of the happenings that occurred in the competition.
"Wow that means we are going for a treat this weekend. I love you."A big smile flashed on her face showing her excitement for the food.
"Tch this glutton." I uttered in extremely low voice.
"What you say something?"
"Nothing, you only love me because of food. Who is your priority food or me? "
"Obviously food."
"you...ok I am going and will call Soren to cancel the plan this weekend."
"No, no, no, you are my priority. I was just kidding with you. Now tell me what's going on with you. Tell me what is bothering you."
"Well it is like this" I just started then Rose suddenly interrupted.
"Like what?"
"Let me complete my words."
"Go ahead"
"It's that, I guess I am feeling something for Soren." I suddenly uttered those words in speed.
"Are you watching some teenage romance drama or love at first sight movies?"
"What's that supposed to mean? I questioned.
"Are you serious its not a romance movie you are in where you met a guy fall in love at first sight and have a happy ending? Live in reality, and you know it might not be possible for you because of your identity witchy."
