"Emily, alright. I am Tristan."
"Thanks for helping me out Tristan. How much life essence did it take?" Emily asked.
Tristan pointed to the side where four large crystal bottles were standing empty. When Emily saw that, she gulped with astonishment. "That... that much? Wow, you sure are a rich tycoon!"
Tristan looked at his evolution mission. It had now finally reached an S grade. He shook his head wondering if every evolution quest is going to be so convoluted.
He looked at Emily. "Well? You were going to pay me?"
Emily nodded. "I don't have enough to pay for four bottles though."
"Just show me what you've got."
Emily waved her hand and a tattoo of a blood drop glowed and over a hundred items appeared in Tristan's eyes. Without any courtesy, he began picking each one to see if the system analyzed it. In the end he only found five items, but they were enough to shock him.
[Choice Totem] was a tiny wooden figurine and from the name Tristan immediately recognized that it might be related to the seventh civilization and immediately pocketed it. Emily did not know what it was and it was in her storage since before she reincarnated.
[Disaster Artist] was a mask.It could actually change not just facial features, but all kinds of body features as well and had no limit to choices either. Even other races could be simulated with this and it even had a built in translator.
[Demonic Scriptures] which seemed incomprehensible to him, but Emily explained that it was the royalty's cultivation technique. Tristan asked if it could be practiced by humans and Emily said that they could. Demonic Scriptures involved burning blood as a sacrifice to gain power, it was a cultivation technique of slaughter. Tristan wasn't sure if this was a cultivation technique that was good to spread.
[Night's Eye] This item caught his eye. He had received Night's totem earlier and now Night's eye. Tristan asked Emily what this was, but she had no clue. It belonged to an ancestor of Shamana and she had it with her without knowing what its use was.
[Lucifer's Karma] Again, an item whose name Emily did not know nor its function. It was just a random trinket in her storage, she didn't expect Tristan to pick it up. Tristan wasn't sure what it did either.
After swiping away these five objects, Tristan didn't say anything further. Emily was surprised that he didn't take anything else. "I thought you'd take everything." She said.
"Everything else is garbage, if there was something to my interest I would've taken it. You still owe me." Tristan grumbled.
Tristan and Emily went down to the drawing room. Tristan wanted to watch TV and Emily followed. Tristan was wondering what to do with this woman.
When Mom saw Tristan coming down with a strange girl and the girl was even wearing Joanna's clothes, she was stunned. "Tristan... you...!"
"Ha?" Tristan was puzzled while Emily was acting shy.
"Come sit. You didn't even introduce your... friend?" Mom growled angrily.
Tristan was too tired to deal with this right now. "Mom, Emily. Emily, my Mom." He introduced the two to each other and sat down on the sofa.
He began browsing the Vast Expanse forum while the two were chatting about some stuff.
He spent some credits to create a new identity for Emily, with that name. He also got her admitted to Eastern University through the backdoor.
"I've made a new identity for you. You'll be attending Eastern University after a month. Which organization will you join?"
"Which has the least restrictions?" Emily asked.
"Vast Expanse." Tristan said.
"That one then."
"Better get familiar with the human world and the scene here. Also go purchase a home and stay there, I'm not allowing you to couch at my place." Tristan said.
Emily nodded. "By the way, what happened to the egg?"
"Why do you need to know?"
"Oh, you have it then. Good. I don't know what it is, but it is very innocent, don't let it get tainted in the wrong hands." Emily put her chin on her hand as she spoke. "By the way, help me search for apartments."
"Just look up a place near the university. I have some work to do, I'm going out, you settle yourself in the city."
Tristan then walked around the lot before going to an isolated area and using the [Disaster Artist] mask. He then walked around a while, before becoming White Star and entering a high security building. Here he had an apartment of his own.
Inside the apartment he sighed. It was finally time to evolve. He had an S grade in the race evolution question. He submitted the mission. Immediately a series of dialogue boxes appeared.
