Chapter 6 - Chapter Five: A Small Episode of Bones

Being at the edge of the graveyard, Extremity dismissed the notification message and slowly made his way into the region. The graveyard was filled with withered trees, bones are litters sticking in or are fully outside of the dirt, uneven grounds, and most importantly graves. Just ten meters inside the graveyard and he had already seen his first mob.

The mob was a bone rabbit. It was under the undead categories and was two levels higher than a normal rabbit. Below are the levels of the two respectively, rabbit & bone rabbit.

Even though it seems a bit stronger than a normal rabbit. Extremity current status can easily overpower most level ten mobs. Not to mention a bone rabbit which levels is lower than ten. As such, he gave the bone rabbit a simple swing of his basic sword before the bone rabbit turned to dust.

-Bone Rabbit defeated. Gain 50Xp.

(Rabbit = 10~20Xp)

-Obtain Rabbit Bones x2 (Material, Common)

Looking at the doubling experience, Extremity smile slightly before scouring his way to the next region of the graveyard. Along the way, his level increase by two (Lvl 4) and the same for his ring (Lvl 3). Though, the ring had only leveled up once during his trip in the outer part of the graveyard region.

Usually, a field region that spawns mobs will normally have three regions; outer, inner, and finally the core region. Depending on the region, different mobs would be spawn. Right now he is in the outer region which only spawn bone animals such as rabbits, fox, wolf, boar, and bears (Lvl 3~7|10).

Getting closer to the inner region, bone skeletons begin to spawn and wander. The landscape slightly changes, there was bone dust float around, rusted & worn weapons, pieces or parts of armors, and dirt mounds litter everywhere to signify graves. Nobody ever considers picking it up any of the scrap metals.

Making his way inside the inner region, Extremity had been lucky to witness the spawning of a bone skeleton. The dirt mound slowly expands upward, little by little. It took five whole seconds before a bone skeleton emerged from the dirt mound.

A bone skeleton (Lvl 5~10|10) is the most basic mobs that could be found in the inner and core region except the outer region. By default, a bone skeleton is just a bit stronger than an average NPC villager, very slow & clumsy. Its description is below:

There are many ways to defeat skeletons or bone monsters in general. One way was bluntness, hitting them with a blunt weapon will rattle their brittle bones with additional damage. Two, most undead were weak to light magic and the majority of bone monsters are categorized as undead. Third, directly hitting a bone monster's soul core will automatically inflict critical hits. A bone skeleton's soul core was in its skull.

After seeing the marvel, the spawning of the bone skeleton. Extremity swings the blunt side of the basic sword toward the skull of the bone skeleton. The spawned bone skeleton was knocked back-down with a crack skull. Another swing at the skills and the skull broke into many pieces. Right after, the bone skeleton finally was classified as defeated.

-Bone Skeleton defeated. Gain 90Xp.

-Obtain Skeleton Bones x2 (Material, C)

-Obtain Soul Core (Skeleton) x1 (Material, Uncommon)

Looking at the Soul Core, Extremity was a bit surprised. The drop rate for a soul core was around ten percent. Smiling at his luck, he slowly made his way deeper into the inner region.

Along the way, he got quite a lot of bone materials and soul cores. The drops of the two were surprisingly high, at the rate of 5:2 ratio respectively (105 bones, 24 soul cores).

By the time he made his way to the edge of the core region. He had leveled up three more times (Lvl 7) and his ring had leveled up once (Lvl 4). All along, Extremity did not even bother to allocate any of his status points. He was waiting for when he got his main class.

Out at the edge of the core region, Extremity could see bone skeletons in a group of two or three. However, the differences were that the bone skeleton now carried rusty weapons and is geared up in loose armors. They seem to patrol in a certain set of routes and are in a loose formation.

Approaching from a hidden view, Extremity calmly picks up a few pebbles. He then threw a handful of it in the direction of a pair of bone skeletons (Lvl 7,8). One reason was to attract the aggro of the two while luring both outsides of the other nearby bone skeletons aggro range.

After leading the two, Extremity quickly eliminate the two bone skeletons. The battle was anticlimactic, a couple of swings in the skulls and loot the drops. He rinses and repeats before eliminating a pathway of death, to his goal.

By the time Extremity reaches his goals, he had enough experiences to level twice (Lvl 9). His ring also gains a level as well (Lvl 5). Looking beyond the bone dusty fog, he saw his goal.

At the center-most of the graveyard was a fort in ruins. Lonely and in solitude, a few rare skeleton soldiers patrol the top restlessly. Their flags to signify the pride of the legion had already been torn cloth.

The west wing of the fort had crumbled. The gate had already been rusted, one side drops inward and the other side of the gate was hanging by a metal hinge. It was a desolate fort. This fort is the reason why he had wanted to come here. Thus, end chapter five.
