I was waiting for Zack to bring the last candidate. I was currently going over my mound of paperwork from earlier, since I am technically the head of the entire engineering department. It took me three hours to arrange and decorate my office as well as watch the candidates squirm under Zack ad Leo's gaze.
Zack knocked on the door to my office as he let in a girl around my height, with medium length hair, round brown eyes, and a youthful looking face. I looked over her outfit and smiled. She was wearing a light pink fluffy blouse, a pair of black skinny jeans, black shoes, and she wore a cute pair of light blue glasses. I welcomed her calming demeanor. I stood as she approached my desk.
"Hello. I am Hannah Marie. It is a pleasure to meet you. Please have a seat." I greeted as I motioned to one of the chairs next to my couch.
She took a seat as I sat on my couch and crossed my legs. I let her look around my office in awe for a few minuets to hopefully let her nerves calm down. She only peaked a glance at Leo but it didn't linger. I was thankful for that. When her attention returned to me she finally said, "Oh sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I am Sophie Tunner."
I chuckled at her as I said, "Oh you are perfectly fine. I totally understand why you forgot. It's not everyday you are on the top floor of a skyscraper. The first time I was on the top floor, it took me longer to adjust."
"Really?" she asked with a slight accent but I could not tell from where.
"Yes I was about five at the time and my father took me to work. It was so frightening that I hid under his desk for the remainder of the time I was there." I laughed as I recalled the memory. "Now Ms. Tunner.." I started but was cut off by her.
"Oh it's Mrs. I am married. But please call me Sophie." she said kind of shyly.
"Sophie, please tell me more about yourself."
"Well I am twenty. I am currently in college to be an engineer. I'm originally from England. I moved out here with my husband a year ago since he is a naval engineer in the Navy." she said with a smile.
