Chapter 7 - 7

"Well then he needed the ego check I guess." I joked. We laughed till we reached my bedroom. Jesse left me at the door, letting me know that someone will be up shortly to get me when dinner arrives.

I walked in to see a rendition of my old room only bigger. To my surprise, the far wall was a window that looked out over the city below. I walked to the closest door to my right to find my walk in closet. It was giant and filled with new clothes along with my old ones. I browsed the racks for a simple pair of shorts, a white strap-y crop top, a black fluffy cardigan, and under garments.

I exited the closet to go to the door next to it. Inside was a beautiful bathroom with a solid stone shower, matching counter tops, shinny dark brown wood flooring, copper faucets, and another wall of tinted windows. I was in awe. I set my clothes down on the counter and started the shower.

Once I was in the shower, I finally let the shock of what I just did to set in. I just insulted the CEO of Ward ArchEngineering's design in front of the former CEO as well. I don't even know what came over me. He even said that he was going to accept it as a compliment. After my shock wore off, I rushed through my shower.

I walked back into the game room with a smile on my face because the one woman that I have fallen for just complimented my work in a way that also bruised my ego. I am extremely glad to finally have someone who can rival my mind. I was now in an extremely good mood as I started to play the video games. I could barely keep myself from wondering up to her room just to see the shock written over her face as she realizes that her initial thought of the house was wrong. Is that petty? Maybe. Maybe not.

I could not get the way her eyes widened when she heard my name. Or the way her hand felt to be in mine. Just the way she looked me over from head to toe had my skin burning with the desire to have her looking at me again. I decided to put down the game as the thoughts of Hannah came baring through my mind.

"Leo…..LEO!" my sister Jesse yelled to get my attention as she held a few pizza boxes. I glared at her for interrupting the tempting thoughts I was having of Hannah. But it was shortly lived as she asked, "Anna was wondering if you will please go get Hannah since the food has arrived?"

I jumped up as I quickly answered with, "Yes." I could see the knowing smile plaster over her face at my quick agreement to go get her since most days I would deny the request.

I brushed past her as I quickly ran up the steps to Hannah's room. Once I made it there in record time, I could hear her muttering about how she should have just held her tongue earlier instead of chastising my work. I smiled at how cute she sounded but I decided to put her misery to an end as I knocked on her door. I put on my angry face as she answered her door and took my breath away.
