Chereads / Nothing Is Certain / Chapter 3 - 3

Chapter 3 - 3

They say that nothing is certain in life. That became very apparent to me on the day my mother remarried her new husband. From that day on, my life has been chaotic. She moved across the country to this mans house, more like mansion, and took me away from my father.

I guess I have to go to this special high school that is partnered with a prestigious college for the rich kids and those who are certified geniuses so that they can all be around kids in their age range or social status. The grades ranged from regular high school freshmen all the way to students under two hundred and finishing college degrees. It is a very hard school to get into but thanks to my mother's new husband, William one of the principles, I get to finish up my schooling here. Like what was wrong with going to a normal college? When I asked my mother that she said and I quote, "Hannah it is for your protection and you need to be around students your age for once in your life."

I love my mother and I know she has done a lot for me in this past year and I'm thankful for it. Which is why I am letting her take me all the way across the country and enroll me in a school I thought was bogus when I was first told about it.

I was currently doing my make up work on the plane since I missed the first month of school due to moving and other things. Luckily I had photographic memory so this was easy. I also have a solid 4.0 GPA since I've been in school. I am known to be a pain in the ass to teachers but they always put up with me since I was the smartest student that they ever had. Sadly I am smarter than the average teacher. Therefore I am taking collage classes in my senior year of high school but I will be graduating with my PHD in engineering. I was thankful that I was 18 or else my life would truly suck even more. I closed my laptop after I emailed my finished classwork to my teachers.

"Wow finished already?" my mother asked.

"Not like it was that hard. I could do that in my sleep. So why don't you tell me about 'William' some more." I replied emphasizing his name. Thankfully my mother and I had a very close relationship more like friends than mother and daughter since she didn't act like a mother anymore but I still told her almost everything after the fateful event a year ago.

"Well not only is he a principal but his family owns Lenox Corp. and he helps his brother run it as they are both the CEO's." my mother smirked as I gasped.
