Siverra had finally found a moment to breathe amidst the chaos of his plan. His heart raced with the knowledge that every second he spent talking was a second someone else could be dying. But still, he knew he needed to take this time to connect with those around him. To form bonds that would make their upcoming battles easier. As well as the fact that for the plan to work, they needed to wait until the two had evolved.
The air was thick with tension, each person in the room aware of the stakes they were playing with. Siverra's eyes scanned the room, taking in the faces of those he had come to know so well. It was almost painful to think that some of them might not make it out of this alive.
He turned to Shira, her face illuminated by the flickering candlelight. "So, Shira. Do you mind if I ask exactly how you came into contact with cultivation?" Siverra's voice was low, almost a whisper, as if he was afraid of alerting anyone outside the room to their presence.
