Chapter 77 - Unexpected Survivor

Jeran and Siverra walked side by side as they moved out of the kingdom. Siverra kept quiet, feeling guilty for leaving without saying goodbye to his friends and people. He couldn't shake off the feeling that his absence had led to the danger and loss of life that had occurred.

"Jeran, I apologize," Siverra finally spoke up, unable to keep his thoughts to himself any longer. "I never got to-"

Jeran turned to face him, halting their progress. "We understand," he interrupted, his tone sympathetic. "I understand. But, understand me in return, Siverra. My god left for another dimension and left everything on my shoulders. Everything is in ruins, and if I had been stronger or learned more during my time, perhaps I could have prevented this from happening."
