Chapter 68 - Ex-boyfriend 4

"What's your name?" the man asked Laura. After they left the building, the woman dragged him to another bar and they started drinking together.

"Laura.... Laura Ji. How about you?" she asked him before passing him another glass of drink.

"Liam." he answered.

Laura looked at the guy's face. She nodded and then tapped his shoulder. "Don't worry Liam! I'll pay for your drinks so just drink all you want." she stated before turning to the bartender again. She ordered another glass of drink for herself before spacing out again.

Liam stared at the woman sitting next to him. She looked pretty, but it's obvious she's now drunk. Was she always like this? Someone who randomly pulls a stranger to accompany her?

"Why did you break up with your boyfriend?", Liam asked. They've been drinking for a while now but she hasn't confided anything to him yet. Is it that she just wanted to get drunk?

Laura glanced at Liam and then smiled. "I don't like him anymore.... Right! I don't like him anymore.... because he has a very small..... heart!" Laura said and then chuckled.

Liam shook his head but smile. He must be crazy but he actually finds this drunkard amusing. It's been a long time since he finds any girl interesting. "I think you should check my heart. Maybe you would like mine." he joked.

Laura gave the guy a side glance. She didn't really get what he's saying as her mind was already a bit blank. But his a bit curly short hair, his mesmirizing eyes and thin lips was a sight to behold. She wondered what those lips tasted like. She chuckled at her own thoughts. She must be really drunk now.

Suddenly, Laura's purse dropped. Liam stood up to picked it up and returned it to the woman. "Oh, I hope my phone is alright." she uttered before laughing. She opened it up to check on the screen and that's when she saw the many missed calls in her call logs. Charmaine and Leo were calling her several times. It was very noisy though as the music was very loud, so she didn't hear one ring. Shoot! She forgot about Charmaine. Her brother would surely kill her.

Laura stood up and staggered to her feet, her little body swaying as she turn to Liam. "Can you please take me home?" she asked with a smile.

Liam sighed and held Laura on her waist as he help her steady her gait. He held onto her until they were out of the pub. "I don't think I can drive you home. I drank a good amount myself. Let's just get you a cab." he told her.

Laura wasn't listening to him though. Holding her phone, she pressed a random number in her missed call logs and it didn't took long before the call connected. Immediately, Laura's brother's voice echoed from the other end. "Where are you?" he asked.

"Brother... don't shcold me please... Ish my fault for leaving my sishter in law alone. I didn't mean it. Can you pick her up in the Prism Bar? I'm somewhere north and couldn't pick her up. I'll jush talk to you later. I don't think I'm... Oh!" she paused as she heard her phone beeped. She looked at the phone screen and saw the low battery warning. "My phone's running out of battery. I have to go now. Don't worry about me, my boyfriend will take me home." she said trying to sound as normal as she can, then giggled. Boyfriend? Yeah. She got a boyfriend for a night.

Liam narrowed his eyes. Boyfriend? She's kidding right? She does not look like the clingy psycho type, but... maybe he should just get rid of her at once. Just to avoid more trouble. "Give me your phone." Liam said before snatching the phone away from her hand. Laura just looked at the guy assisting her with her languid eyes as if wondering what he was trying to do. "We need to call your family back because I don't even know your address."

Laura furrowed her brows. "You can jush ashk me! I'm not that drunk! I shtay with my brother in Shurrey!" she argued as if she was insulted. She snatched her phone back but she was so drunk she knocked down the phone from Liam's hand.

Again, Liam sighed in frustration. He've never seen a more troublesome girl before. He stedied her and picked up her phone but noticed that the screen has totally blocked out. Did it run out of battery or has it shut down because of the impact when it hit the ground? Whatever it is, it's obviously impossible to use the phone now. "Alright! Where in Surrey do you live?"

By that time, Laura was already smashed and she can barely make sense of anything she hears. "Who lives in Shurrey? I live in Chelshy." she replied. "There... there... let's go there... that building over there ish mine." Laura pointed somewhere in the middled of the dark street.

Liam followed her gaze and saw a hotel in a distance. He squinted his eyes as a headache overcame him. This woman own that hotel? Yeah right!

Laura was actually pointing to the restaurant next to it. But she's too blackout drunk to notice where they're heading.

"What did she say?" Charmaine worriedly asked to the man standing beside her.

Leo turned to Charmaine and put away his phone. "Nothing to worry about. She's with her boyfriend." he replied.

Charmaine's eyes widened. "Boyfriend? She made up with Ivan? Are you sure?" she asked, incredulous. How could that be?

Leo glanced at the man standing from a distance behind them. "She's fine so we should go home now. I think you should say goodbye to your FRIEND over there." he coldly told her while gesturing towards Andrei.

Charmaine lowered her head. Leo saw them together when he arrived at the bar's parking lot. He must be more furious now than he was before. She glanced at Andrei but couldn't utter a word.

Andrei put his hands on his pockets and tilted his head as he sensed the weird atmosphere. "Take care on your way home. I still need to get back inside to find my cousin." he uttered. It looked to him like she was caught in a tight spot.

"Leo nodded at him. "Thanks for accompanying my wife." he said in a cold manner.

Andrei sneered and walked closer to Charmaine. He whispered something against her ear and it instantly made Charmaine blush. She glared at him but didn't say anything as she watched him walk away.

Leo on the other hand just stared at his wife's flustered face...
