Charmaine slowly removed her clothes and entered the shower. Turning on the water, she felt the warm water soaking her cold body. She only took a few minutes to drive her car from outside the gate to the garage and Leo was already out of Adele's room. That meant Leo was telling the truth and he has no intention of starting an affair with Adele in this lifetime, something like the one they had in her other life. That's really very strange.
Back then, Leo hated her and liked Adele. But in this lifetime, Leo claims to like her and dislike Adele. What exactly led to the changes? Was this even the same life she's living?

"Laura! I know it's you!"
Laura was startled when someone grabbed her wrist while she was about to enter her car. She was only there to fetch her mom and nephew but someone just popped out of nowhere and pulled her. When she turned to look, she realized it was Ivan... her ex-boyfriend.
"What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Oh, I was buying something when I saw you. Can I invite you for some coffee?" he uttered with a hopeful smile. Laura wasn't thrilled though. Ivan was the last person she wanted to see.
"I can't. Sorry but I'm busy." she declined. But Ivan didn't let her go.
"I've been looking for you everywhere. You didn't come to the restaurant and I visited you at home but they said you moved out. Are you avoiding me? Why won't you hear me out?" he asked. He looked pitiful but Laura wasn't buying it.
"Ivan, we've already broken up. I don't wanna see you anymore. You've already wasted a few years of my life. I'm done with you." she declared. She loved him for so long. He was the love of her youth. But what did he do? He kept another woman in his heart while he was with her! She have always thought Ivan was a little cold and distant. She thought it was just because he's always busy and preoccupied with work. She was too dumb to believe she was just overthinking when in fact the truth was... he was only using her!
"Laura I'm really sorry. I was wrong. I only realised how much you mean to me after you left. Please come back to me." Ivan pleaded but Laura was having none of it.
"It's too late." she replied.
Behind them, Elise saw what was happening and quickly called Laura. It looked like her daughter was arguing with someone. With Luke standing beside her, she asked them what was going on.
"This is nothing mom. Let's go home." Laura simply replied.
Ivan on the other hand approached Elise and greeted her. "Ma'am, I'm Ivan Gray. I'm Laura's boyfriend."
Elise turned to Laura and caught her frowning. So, she was fighting with her boyfriend? "Well, I'm sorry but we have to go home. I still have to check on my daughter in law." Elise stated as she led Luke to Laura's car. Laura frowned even more as she followed her mom and got on the driver's seat. She closed the door and started the car.
"I know Adele is your favorite and you're worried because she's sick. But you can't just give other people's title to her. She will never be your daughter in law."Laura commented.
Elise lifted her brows and stared at Laura as if she was looking at an idiot. She then sighed and looked away. "I know." she replied.

Outside the bathroom, Leo was staring at the bathroom door. A while ago, he told Adele off and closed the door on her face. But when he came in, Charmaine was already in the shower and he has no idea what he should tell her. And, would she even listen to him? She caught them in such an inappropriate position. It's almost unforgivable!
"Charmaine..." Leo called from outside the bathroom door. "I'm sorry about what you saw just now, but believe me, nothing really happened between us." Leo started explaining. "I'm going to tell mom to send her home... but please listen to me.."
Leo waited for a response but Charmaine didn't answer. He knew it. His wife was angry. "I'm really sorry. I know it's all my fault. The way you saw us together, even I would get furious if I see you in someone else's arms like that."
Slowly, the door opened and a naked Charmaine peeked out. "Yeah. I know you will." she answered. She then opened the door wider. "Come in. Wash my back."
Leo gulped at the sight of her naked back. He followed her inside and closed the door behind him.
"Are you still mad at me?" he asked.
Charmaine didn't look back. "I'm not mad at you. I told you I didn't see anything." She had already seen a lot of bad things in her dreams. So many times she caught Leo in someone else arms; him doing Adele a few times. Her heart has already toughened and a few tricks from those women won't faze her anymore.
"What do you mean by that?" Leo asked with furrowed brows. Does that mean she didn't care at all? That doesn't sit well with him.
Charmaine turned around and instead of answering, she glanced at the big bump inside his pants. "Is that because of me or because of her?" she teased.
Leo answered by grabbing her waist and kissing her hard. He started grinding his lower body against hers while he caressed her wet skin. "I only get a hard on with you." he whispered.
Charmaine smiled a bit. "Then, there goes your answer. I told you I'll trust you if you tell me the truth." she replied. He told her he didn't like Adele but it's not that easy to believe his words. She was waiting for him to prove it, and since today, he presented her a solid proof, then she's ready to trust him. She knew Leo wasn't a lecherous man. But she was very afraid of Adele's existence before. Not anymore though. Leo has declared himself to be hers. She won't have to feel guilty for taking away someone else's man anymore.

When Elise entered the house, she looked up at the spiral staircase at once. It's too quiet. She wondered what happened. Leo and Charmaine's car were both in the garage so they must be upstairs. She wouldn't stumble upon a dead body once she went up there, would she?
"Luke, I'll take you to your room. You must be very tired." she told the child before turning to Laura. "Go prepare for dinner."
Laura nodded and watched as Elise accompanied Luke upstairs. She just wanted to see how her favorite step child was doing right? How annoying.
Elise sent Luke to her room and then went straight to the couple's bedroom. She started knocking but no one answered.
"Charmaine! I want to talk to you. Find me later when you're free." Elise yelled.
Inside the bathroom, Charmaine and Leo both stood under the shower, hugging each other naked. Leo paused and raised his head when he heard his mother's voice.
"I think we should get out soon. Your mother is waiting." Charmaine teased him.
Leo frowned at her. Get out soon? He was still inside her! "Let her wait then." he said, obviously displeased. "I'm still enjoying this." he mumbled before lowering his head and kissing her breast.
"Fine... but don't leave any more marks. It's too ugly!" she complained.
Leo just chuckled. Those don't look ugly to him at all.
