"Luke?", Charmaine called as she sneaked into the little boy's room. It's already nine in the morning when she got home but Aya said Luke didn't come down for breakfast earlier and when she asked a maid, Lucia, to check on him, the girl said the boy was still sleeping. Aya then decided to just let him be. But Charmaine found that strange. The boy was used to waking up early. Well, not unless....
When Charmaine entered the room, she found Luke still fast asleep on his bed. She sat on the edge of his bed and removed the blanket covering him. That's when she noticed something weird. The boy was hugging a photo frame. Thinking it's not safe to cuddle a glass frame in sleep, Charmaine took it from the little boy's grasp. But immediately, the boy whimpered as if he was in pain.
Charmaine looked at the photo in her right hand. It was a photo she thought she already lost. She then glanced back at the child and raised her left hand to reach for his restless hands, and that's when it hit her. She began to panic as she felt his hand burning. She touched his forehead to check before scooping him up in her arms. Luke is definitely burning hot with fever and even after calling him a few times, the boy wouldn't open his eyes.
"Luke, don't scare me like this!" she exclaimed.

"How could you, grandpa? You're willing to participate in this lie just to get rid of me?", Jun Ji yelled. He knew Ji Chen didn't really like him, but how can he just turn his back on his principles just to for Leo Ji? Unbelievable.
Ji Chen shook his head with a resigned expression. "Jun, in fact he didn't need any status if he only wanted to get rid of you. No matter what happens, he's still a Ji..." Ji Chen stated before passing a document to his assistant behind him. The assistant then walked towards Jun and placed the document in front of Jun to check.
Ji Chen glanced at Leo Ji who was nonchalantly sitting on his far right. The lad was playing with his phone as if all the things they were discussing were menial matters. He narrowed his eyes as he realised how cruel Leo Ji even to his kin. He can just show the the evidences of his brother's theft and that test report in Jun Ji's hand to disable Jun Ji but he chose to trample on Jun's pride by acquiring the highest position in the family in front of him. He just have to boast about all the things he own that Jun can never have.
When Leo lifted his head, he noticed Ji Chen glaring at him. Did the old man think he's going overboard? Blame it on the b*stard who crossed the line when he tried to bed his wife. "You've seen it. Everything I presented was genuine. Don't look at me as if I'm antagonizing Jun." he snickered.
Jun Ji clenched his hand to ball, crumpling a part of the paper in his hand. His eyes widened as he stared at those zeros written in the lower part of that paternity test report. He gritted his teeth as fury surge from within him. Despicable. All of Leo Ji's methods were despicable.

"What's the meaning of this?" Jun Ji uttered. "You're willing to go as far as to fake a DNA test report to expel me from the family?!" he bellowed as he furiously stood up from his seat.
Leo Ji remained unaffected as he leaned on the backrest of his chair. "Why are you blaming me? Why not blame your mother from keeping this secret from you?" he mocked him. "Your mother used her pregnancy to cling onto my dad, and my dad was stupid enough to believe you're his child. How laughable is that?"
Engulfed in rage, Jun launched himself at Leo Ji, aiming to throw punches at him. But securities have already reached the room and they hurriedly tackled him before his fist could land on Leo's face. "Fake! These are fake! You're all colluding to destroy me!" Jun Ji shouted. Announcing all these in front of all the share holders, they were out to humiliate him and discredit him. Surely, every documents they presented were forged! What DNA paternity test? It was all a hoax! He's Joel Ji's eldest son! His mother didn't lie about his identity! He's a Ji! They just want to disinherit him!
"Your mother destroyed my family when she seduced my dad. And you tried to snatch away my wife. You're truly mother and son. Both are thieves." Leo ridiculed him before standing up and turning the head of security. "Take him and turn him over to the police. I want him to be punished from his crimes." he commanded.
Ji Chen's eyes darkened. Leo has gone all out in this matter. Jun was now left with nothing. No family, no inheritance, no freedom. Did he really have to leave him with nothing? Even if it's true that Jun Ji wasn't his grandson, he has been under his wing for a very long time. He's still family. How can he not leave a way out for someone who used to be his brother?
Leo Ji ignored his grandfather's stares. He just turned to Jun and watched as he was being taken away. He already know about Jun not being his biological brother since four years ago, but exposing him didn't occur in his mind. If it was just setting him up and coveting his position, he could forgive all that. But being a threat to hid family.... he will never allow it.

"Don't worry. He'll be alright." Aya assured Charmaine as they watch over Luke from the side. She patted her daighter's back who was holding the little boy's hand while sitting beside his bed.
Charmaine nodded. "You can head home first mom. I'll watch over him. This is all my fault anyway." she uttered. After finding out that Luke was having a fever, Charmaine hurriedly brought him to the hospital. It was a wise decision since he wasn't just burning with fever, the doctor also said he was at risk of becoming severely dehydrated.
"Don't blame yourself. You just miscalculated a bit." Aya told him. "I'll make a move now. Call me if you need anything."
Charmaine nodded. She hasn't called Leo yet to inform him of what happened. She knew he would be busy the whole morning and she musn't interrupt him at this hour. So she just told her mom to inform Leo of their whereabouts as soon as he gets home.
Charmaine watched her mom leave. But Aya has only gone for a few minutes when she saw her coming back with a panicked expression.
"Guess who I saw being wheeled to the emergency room!" she blurted. "Jun Ji! They said he had a car accident!" Aya declared.
Charmaine stared at her mother in shock. What happened?
