Ba Qing woke up at eight in the morning and her mother is long gone, she must be preparing what left unfinished yesterday.
Ba Qing emailed the latest summary of her incoming novel to the editor in advanced before coming down to eat her breakfast. Today, she supposed to have a meeting with the editor for her new novel. It is still early, she can still eat her breakfast before getting ready. If she take a taxi from their apartment building, she can reach in 30 minutes.
Ba Qing walk to the kitchen and on the table there is a plate of dumplings covered with plastic wrap and a note. Its from her mother, saying that she got it from food deliveries this morning.
"En." She respond and put the note back down. Ba Qing is not a picky eater, when she feels that the dumplings is still warm, she eat it straight away without minding to heat it or anything, then she drinks a glass of water before walking upstairs again to wash up.
After taking a bath, she dry her long hair as she think about what to wear. Thats when her phone suddenly ring, its from her editor.
"Yes, good morning Miss Ye." Ba Qing cheerfully answer. She look at the clock, still an hour and a half before the meeting ah. She is not late.
"Miss Ba. This is Xia Hui jiejie. Its like this, Miss Ye accidentally trip this morning while going to work. I am at the hospital now, Miss Ye is fine but seems like she need to wait for examination and take a lot of x-rays. Miss Ye ask me to postpone the meeting. Is that okay?"
"Yes of course. Miss Ye is the most important now. Xia Hui jiejie, you be careful too." Ba Qing said. They talked a bit more before they hanged up.
Weird, when everyone is sick, Miss Ye is the only one who still survived but now she slipped on her own? Ba Qing thought to herself.
Well, since that is the case, she should just attend her mother art exhibition then.
What should she wear? She look inside her dressing room and choose a black Dior dress, she bought this a few months ago in New York but never wear it out. Think about it, it has been a while since she attended these kind of events. At least a few months since the last one.
She quickly change into it, wear a more glamorous make up than her daily routine and comb her hair neat as she let her wavy hair fall loose at the back. Lastly she applied hair spray to prevent her hair becoming messy.
Ba Qing look at her final look, the off shoulder lacy black dress is the body hugging type and falls only passed her knee. She choose a black cuff and wear it around her neck and complete.
She reach for a golden purse from the drawer and put her red lipstick inside with her wallet and handphone. Then, since her sight is not that bad, she pack her contact lens together, she will wear it when she arrived there. Again, she just choose a golden pair of pumps but wear her slippers to her car before setting off.

Ba Qing arrive at the underground parking of the Empire hotel with her mother's red Audi. Since she finished getting ready early, she is taking her time. Even if she came early, she will just get ignored by her busy mom, so, she even become very very considerate in the busy road today, she gave way to people ah, take the slow lane ah. What a happy drive.
After attempting a reverse parking for the 'who-knows-how-many-time', she still cross the other side parking box so after looking around and there are still many empty spaces. Most probably no one will need this parking space next to her, so, she happily pulled the hand brake and settled her car there.
Then, she took off the slipper she is wearing and changed it with the golden pumps she brought with her before using the front mirror to put the lenses into her eyes. She feel very light hearted today, a hit english song that she knows are also on the radio so she hum along to it.
"Think about it, I am actually free today. I finished my novel draft last night. Today is actually not that bad." She said to herself with a smile before throwing away everything to the back seat. Well, no one is gonna sit there anyway. She hum with a happy heart.
But, when she step out of the car looking gorgeous, she saw a man inside a Bentley one space away from her car looking at her, then looking at the space her car has taken due to her failed reversed parking.
Is he ridiculing her? But still, with a positive mindset Ba Qing smiled in pursuit of peace, anyway, she is also in the wrong here. But that man continue talking on his phone and look away, totally ignoring her plastic smile.
Ba Qing face turns ugly, what the..!? She almost curse. Nowadays, many people only rely on good look but attitude is so bad ah.
She quickly recovered and cool down her heart as she locked her car and start walking to the lift.
However, while waiting for the lift, a woman in a formal look walk pass her and almost run onto her. And no apologies at that. Her happy bar reduced a lot since coming here ah.
She unconsciously eyed the woman that was heading towards the same Bentley just now. She seems to be in quite a rush but she still have the time time to check her appearance. What, is the man in that car that handsome that charming to go to this extent? Ba Qing feel it is a bit ridiculous but her curiosity is pique.
The woman knock on the car's window then the same man on the phone just now step out of the car, still with his expressionless face. He then said something to the beautiful woman in business suit. He looks a bit grumpy, nothing like a gentleman.
Ba Qing who now see the man clearly cannot help but admire and acknowledge the beautiful jiejie taste. So tall ah, face looking good too ah. Paired with the grey western suit perfect hair, truly a beauty. If not because his next act shocked Ba Qing to death, she may also consider canceling her bad impression on him just now, just because of the face.
What happened was, Ba Qing still steal a look at the two people talking at each other until things that only can be seen in romance novel happened. Something that is too hard to explained by science happened, while silently standing still, the woman's heels miraculously slip as her Beyonce body fall forward, towards the handsome gege. But, reality is indeed different from a fantasy ah, as if not seeing it, the man just move to the side which result in that woman falling to the parking space. What more, the man as if not seeing, continue reading the documents that was given to him.
Ba Qing quickly closed her mouth to stop herself laughing. Maybe it is the best, at least that jiejie can save a bit face. To savage ah that man. If it were other man, they will surely let the beautiful jiejie fall into their arm. Luckily her taste is more to the gentleman, kind type. This type of man is too hard for her to handle.
Ba Qing quickly fix her expression when the lift finally opened. She entered the lift and pressed the close button. The hotel floor where her mother's exhibition would be the 9th floor.
But then, the two people who became her source of entertainment also strode towards the lift. Ba Qing may be entertained with their drama, but she really don't want to share the same lift with them. These two people, even if it is just a little bit, she still have a small grudge. Ba Qing quickly pushed the close button but it doesn't seem to be cooperating with her at all.
At last, the man and the woman enter the lift together, she is left with no choice but move to the back. The tall beautiful jiejie then pushed a floor, just above the one she pressed. Oh the 10th floor is the VIP lounge. Businessman? She guessed.
Ba Qing cannot help but observe the two people closely, don't blame her ah, they are too interesting and good looking. All people like looking at beautiful things, including her.
The woman is wearing a Louboutin heels and she is only a bit taller than her maybe 2 to 3 cm, she is actually quite tall too, 169 cm. The man is far more taller, maybe around 185 cm. Is he by chance a model? He have the face, body build is also nice, paired with that height, quite possible ah. But when she look again, possibly a rich family son bah. Ba Qing may not be too updated with the recent fashion but she still can tell that the man is wearing an expensive tailor made suit and the woman is also dressing with the latest season clothes. If her guess was right, then this woman is an assistant but she is from a well off family too. Both of them smells too much of money.
