"W-what?" If Sienna wasn't here with Luna face to face, she might have thought that this woman wasn't the sister she despised the most. The only one she couldn't surpass, no matter how much she tried. Who cares if Luna had a better IQ than her? It didn't matter as long as she could keep the bitch out of her way.
Luna had enough of these people. Why did they think that they could bully her? Did they really think she's a pushover? She tried her best to be kind and respectful, but these idiots thought they could take advantage of her, especially Sienna.
"Ha! Even if you give me everything you have right now, I wouldn't sign that agreement. Only a fool cannot see how unfair your terms are? You think that money is enough to drive me away and keep me out of the Jiang Corporation?" Luna huffed in exasperation.
"I don't see why you're still prideful, sis. I know you don't have enough money left to support your mother's health expenses. You're practically broke right now. After this, do you think you can afford it if something unexpected happens?" Sienna glared back at her with contempt.
"And that will cost me to sign away my rights? Hell, no. You think I didn't know what you did to me three years ago?"
At those words, Sienna's eyes widened. Luna knew? But how?
"I don't know what you're talking about." But Sienna's face betrayed her. Luna could see the guilt and nervousness in her. She knew. Of course, she knew, but she didn't do anything back then because their grandmother begged her to give way for Sienna.
"You think I didn't know that you were the one who stole my project design? The one you presented to the Board, which led you to your promotion as the Vice President?"
Sienna looked like she bit her own tongue. Was Luna threatening her? If the company found out that she wasn't the one who created the design, she would never be the next CEO.
"Luna Jiang! That's enough! You shouldn't accuse someone without proof. It was me who created the design from the scratch. It was my own work!"
"And yet you had failed to give everyone the most profitable outcome that design has to offer. You couldn't even specify each technicality of the design I made. Tell me, Sienna, after using my work, have you come up with a better design to surpass it? Have you contributed something that could uplift the sales of the company?" With a glass in her hand, Luna leaned her back on her seat.
If Sienna thought she could bully her and force her to give up her inheritance, she's gravely mistaken. Luna was very forgiving before, but she wouldn't let anyone think she's a doormat they could step on anytime they want to. There's a limit to her patience, and right now, she really had nothing left.
Her day started waking up with a stranger on her bed, and then her own boyfriend abandoned her with a woman she treated as a friend. Really, this day wasn't getting any better for her, and Sienna's sudden visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. She had enough. She had enough of these bullshits.
Sienna would rather say nothing than making a mistake, especially admitting her wrongdoings. When their grandmother asked Luna to create a project design for the Jiang Corporation, her position was threatened. Even when they were younger, she never had beaten Luna on anything.
When she didn't respond, Luna assumed that Sienna wouldn't insist the agreement to her. Now that the cat was out of the bag, there was no sense in pretending they didn't know what's really happening.
Luna stood up and prepare to leave, but Sienna made her stop.
"Daddy isn't feeling well lately. You two should talk to fix whatever issues you have with him. If you have time, I can set a date so you could meet him."
Luna's eyes sharpened at her half-sister. Until now, Sienna pretended that she cared about her and Julian.
"There's no need for that." Luna paused "Now that you mention it, why don't you give me a call when the old man finally passed away? I wouldn't mind giving up some of my time to light up some candles. Considering that he donated a sperm cell for my creation. That was the only contribution he made for me."
Sienna was left speechless by Luna's words, but she didn't bother to stop her from leaving. After making sure that Luna left already, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number.
"Mom, Luna refused to sign the papers. What should we do?" There was a pause. "Alright, I'll let you do it, but please make sure Luna can't be able to trace it back to us."
Her lips curled into a smile.
'Luna, I will make sure you can never go back to our family.'
