Chapter 107 - Ch. 106 Futa?

Studying closely the bosses body I immediately discover some strange details... For starters it has genitals... Snakes don't have genitals. Must be because of the partial dragon blood thing. Then I discovered the weirder part it's still got a cloaca. Even stranger this appears to be a female snake yet it's dragon genitalia are male. Which makes this a futa snake.

It's a trap...

From what I can tell I guess that is closer to a snake with two genders and the ability to breed with both male and female. Well male snakes and female everything else? Dragons such strange creatures to prideful to bang a lesser species but somehow born with the ability to breed with all creatures... well I guess there is the one requirement based around size. Size does very much matter when your whole body is smaller then another's genitals. Huge hulking goliaths flying through the sky. That's what a true dragon is like...

I'm over here like a small pony. Neigh. A large dog. Ha. Pony joke.

After escaping for the emotional prison I deserve for my sense of humor I began to focus less on the strange genitals of this extremely sneaky snake and more on its scales. Especially since it's already dead. Best not to be too creapy I mean let's not obsesse over a corpses genitals. It's a bit, disrespectful? I mean I already murdered the guy, gal? Snake... and now I'm judging it's gender issues. Luckily it was born a snake. That's the kinda thing in human society that becomes a... Well at the very least an emotional issue. I mean not being able to figure out your own sex is an issue right? Noticing the strange patterns on the snake I find myself confused. It looks a bit like... Well striped crystals? The stripes appear similar to the other snakes so I'ma ignore that for now and focus more on the crystal nature of the scales.

With closer inspection I discover it's not quite crystal... It's more like... An ant colony? The scale is made up of countless little grains and then they are all holding each other. Those little grains are similar to a very fine saw dust all glued together into a amber like substance. So rather then crystal it's more amber. I guess that could explain why dragon scales are known to be so hard rather then one substance they are countless little pieces holding the whole together you aren't just hitting a hard thing but more fighting the force that holds it together. So trying to break dragon scales is a bit like trying to invalidate gravity. Not simply oppose it but to negate it all together.

Hmm... That also makes the scales strength entirely based around the force that keeps them together. So copying them can be done very wrongly very easily. Not to mention this isn't even a dragon but a half breed of a drake. So it could be totally different for a true dragon. They may even have regular scales that are just super strong. My first guess would be a finer grain. I mean it's kinda obvious on the snake scales that they are granular in nature but with a dragon it'd probably be impossible to actually tell. Likely on the level of atoms. In that isn't my mist kinda perfect to replicate these dragon scales with? I mean if they are granular in nature wouldn't that just be like a solid form of mist? Dust. Hmm, I guess a dust based system would likely be better.

Forgetting the nature of the scales for now I decide to design a foundation as opposed to a form. It shouldn't be one thing but able to grow immensely with time. For starters I can't even turn my mist into a fluid right now let alone a solid so crafting scales would be super difficult. I don't even know how much mist I'd need. So forming a gaseous scale form that can be turned into a fluid then a solid is the first part. The exact structure of the material isn't as important as the binding force after all so it doesn't really matter that the scales be made with a solid. Thinking back to the whirlpool idea I decide that should be my foundation. However designing the whirlpool to only have a connection to one another seems difficult. They should pull one another forming the connective force.

Hmm... I could theoretically base it entirely on the concept of mist control but that would likely cause the scales durability to be entirely based on mental health which would be a huge issue if I got knocked out or decided to sleep for whatever reason. Let alone the issue of it itself exhausting me. Maybe it could be a stagnated form of mist control? But I can't control the mist to control itself... It's technically impossible to just set rules for the mist. However if the mist is set to spin with a small input of mana they could easily be stabilized the issue is that it would gather mist from the surroundings and possibly everything else.

After immense consideration I decide the best choice isn't control but condensation. Attempting to make a semi permanent form of condensing of the mist by controlling the pulling force that comes from that skill but rather then using mana to stabilize the form using exclusively the force that allows me to condense exclusively my mist. While it would successfully remove the issue of it pulling anything and everything it wouldn't stop my body from naturally absorbing mist from the environment which would be somewhat of a issue if I want to hide in the mist and every other manipulation of the mist. Luckily that would likely be a problem for later. As I'm not strong enough to condense that much mist. So it likely wouldn't absorb enough to cause an issue. As I can always use mist control to oppose the absorption.

Putting my idea to practice I attempt to condense mist into a singular point upon my lower neck and slowly form it into a swirl fashion then attempt to condense a shell of mist into the structure of the tiny swirling vortext... It fails immediately. Then I spend another hour or so in the attempt before it finally seems to work. However even then I am forced to gather almost all the mist in the many spatial barriers and let it be slowly absorbed into the scale for a few hours that I spend time trying to figure out the spatial concept a bit better. Mist manipulation is the best option because condensation is not really an option as space isn't a part of my mist. So what I wanna do is either make the force blend with the space itself somehow so it's only effecting the space or something else because even if I create a whirlpool that pushes the space outwards I'd never be able to put anything in it if it continues to push things out... As such I spend a few hours comprehending the nature of space and how mist could manipulate it until finally I hear a chime.

Oh yeah, it'd be under draconic wouldn't it... Then show the skill to me please Alex.

*[MistScale] level: Locked - The creation of scales through condensation of mist. Progress 1/108000 - Please create all scales to advance to the temporing stage.*

Oh wow... I can't even advance that skill. Also what's up with the arbitrary number? 108000 sounds like a lot of scales... Do I even have enough body? Looking at the tiny solitary scale placed on my lower neck then estimating adding on the nature of scales layering over one another... It doesn't seem that inappropriate if it must cover my entire body... Touching the little scale I find it's technically a solid... Despite being transparent and practically invisible it's still hard. It just looks like my skin is a bit blurry and nothing can actually touch me... Hmm...

"Hey can you stop using me as a mirror." No!!! Shh I'm busy. Also where did the rock go?

"It disappeared when the tomb opened. You've just been laying ontop of my body this whole time. Which I didn't mind but don't use me as a mirror as well as a bed." Huh... I didn't notice you are about the same level of hard as the stone was.

"I was originally just a polished stone. So that..." Wait you a giant diamond like heart was originally just a rock? How?

"Lots of polish?" Fat chance girly.

"Magic?" Better argument.
