Chapter 87 - Ch. 86 Aridvale

Two large beautiful mounds stretching from a flat plain a narrow valley between... My mind begins to wander as the road continues towards this expanding valley between the two large hills... This seems familiar... Oh, Boobs!!! Ok... So we are walking downhill as the two earthen boobs begin to sprout from the earth in the distance. Quite the busty lady dear earth-chan is... Ha... As the twin peaks simply teem with life, I assumed that the lowlands between that the road went towards would be the same but as we get closer and closer to it we find a dry and lifeless valley with a large town in the middle a river of sorts flowing from up the hill on the other side but the water simply vanishing as the riverbed into the valley is as dry as a bone. Feeling my minor excitement followed by disappointment Ellie looked to me "What's going on with you?" Hearing her question without thinking I answered simply in a single word of cloud text. Boobs. Seeing the word Ellie's face flushed in Embarrassment and shyly lifted me off her shoulder before putting me back down her shirt...

Hmm... So clearly I've been misunderstood... However, I don't necessarily disapprove of the change of seating nor do I believe correcting the misunderstanding will make me or her happier. Probably just upset her and cause a problem for me as I can almost guarantee that me saying I didn't actually wanna get down her shirt may be more like saying she's ugly... It's a pretty cliched plot from some of the stories stuck in my head. So I'ma pass and just enjoy the comfy soft titty bed. Hmm maybe if Ellie gets pregnant I could get some more cushion but she's only attracted to me and that's a non-starter as I'm simply too small of physical stature I mean I'm sure it'd physically possible to get in there but as it grows with my body it'd be a bit underwhelming also my body is still quite fragile. Tricky situation... Not to mention questioning what even would come out... Claws... no lips... I'd need a third party to even check. I'm still fairly certain only mist would come out due to my lack of any sort of organs just mist. I mean I got danglers down there but if they just hold that shape and are filled with mist or magically work despite lack of internals. I mean I can feel through the mist and the mist filling up my insides isn't any different as my lack of organs or anything inside makes it easy to just figure everything in there out with ease but I don't understand magical biology I still haven't managed to figure out where that food disappears to every time I eat.

I don't even understand what the hell I am meant to be. Lizard, elemental, somewhere in between? I mean elemental creatures are none physical and only portraying that element right? What element is mist meant to be? It could represent wind and water. However, mine is neither unlike the other blumest who are water-related I appear to be life-related. I was born with a blue body that became green so clearly not an elemental right? What kind of elemental can abandon the element they are born to outright? Sounds like a human suddenly breathing water. Based on the coloring I assume my life element is a side effect of my soul but my soul is damaged and holds very little strength gotta believe the element isn't fundamental to the existence of my species.

What am I is an impossible question but a more awkward thought would be is it possible for humans to be impregnated by none humans in this world? I'd ask but I'd probably just confuse... Maybe I can get Ellie and to write down sets of words for me. She can't very well teach me as even if she wrote out her language I'd just see it as mine. Unless I was asleep or maybe away? Idk the distance of the binding skill maybe feet or miles. The last time it didn't work she was simply asleep. I guess despite not needing to sleep I still can if it can help me but won't reading it out also translate it? Alex is there a way to toggle the information transmission of the binding skill?

"Negative, binding is, as the word suggests, a binding. Neither person can remove it turn it off or change it as both people are bound."

As we approach the main gate of the town walls we are greeted by a young girl in a thin metal armor that looks like a fusion of plate and chainmail "Hello and welcome to Aridvale. How many days do you plan to stay?" Ellie looked at Addie not knowing how long they would stay while I curiously look around based on the many carts parked on the other side of theg gate being loaded I assume this is a trading port. Certainly, not a farming community. Addie simply held up four fingers but Ellie and I have grown accustumed to her refusing to speak in the presence of others. Nodding Ellie answered "Four days." Looking between the two hooded girls then staring intently at the mist inside Ellie's hood then at the green hue leaving a trail behind Ellie. Frowning she turned back to Ellie "I've heard rummors of mist that causes illusions and a traveler hunting a beast that preys upon the wicked. I do hope that no murders or mist clogs up our town we are an important trade port so we are always sending or recieving people who leave to supply or sell goods to different border regions of the empire." Nodding Ellie said softly "I do hope no problems occur myself." The girl nods but fishes out a badge before pressing a object to it three times and hands it over. "I wish you well in your travels." Nodding Ellie and Addie simply pass her by and walks into the town while the girl stares at us. I wonder what that was about.

I mean it makes sense that in a magical world merchants would know about such matters rather quickly as it's part of their job to gather the information of every place they need to sell to but why are we so unwelcome? Even if it's a matter of wealth and that trades would be halted for a day causing people to lose thousands the guard shouldn't be that worried about that. They would be employeed by the city and be local so making people spend more money here and keeping crimes from happening would be a good thing would it not? Reaching a inn the girls immediately frown reading the hanging by the door "Merchants only." Hmm so gotta find a different inn?

Many hours of wandering down the street later searching for an inn the girls are approached by a large man in cheap rusty old chainmail. "If you are looking for a place to stay in this town as travelors you may use my house. However I will need a large payment." With no other option Ellie nods and begins to the dicuss the nature of large. A short discussion about currency that I tuned out as it is entirely pointless to understand this countries currency as we probably won't stay in this country long the man takes them to shabby hunt and down a long hallway and opens a door. "You both can stay in there." Nodding both girls walked in and closed the door behind them. Looking around the room the door clearly lacks any kind of lock and there is no bed or forniture just a haybail with a rawhide cover. Sighing and happily appreciating her sleepingbag backpack she sits down and complains. "This town is so horrible. It's so hot and dry." Looking around Addie simply nods and sits beside her silently staring at her hands. I wonder what this girls story is. I mean we know she was some kind of a noble was sent on a boat to play music was killed by her servant but that's all we got...
